Has anyone run through with a shield and sword character alongside a shield and sword Alistair? I was wondering if this could be effective.

I could see the advantages, with multiple front line stuns and two well protected warriors taking the brunt of damage while dishing out a fair amount at the same time, but also see the disadvantage of not enough healing to go around, and perhaps not enough damage going around either.

I have done a total run thru with Alistair as a 2H warrior, and he took alot of damage as that as well. Wondering if it might just work to leave him "as is".

Thanks

Yes, that's what I'm doing right now. After I get his strength up enough and he's wearing decent armor, it's nice to have him there to help with holding the line while the rogue and the mage go to work.

The best idea to assist your sanity for the game involving Alistair is to mute the TV every time he speak.

Yup, works quite fine with two tanks ... no problems there.

Acually for all AI prearranged fights like ambushes or "forced dialogue" two tanks are heaven sent.

You don't like his voice? I think it's great.

Actually for forced fights like ambushes and "forced dialogue" two tanks are heaven sent ... gives a whole lot less to worry about.

Serogon. I think Alistair is the number one on people I wish I could kill in this game haha. His goody goody nature is tiresome even for my good character.

Thanks for the responses. Think I'll do this runthru like that. Hadn't thought about the cutscene fights. I can definately see an advantage there.

SydneySilence- Alistair is a love/hate for me. Some of the things he says make me cringe, and some of them still make me laugh out loud even though I've heard them twenty times already. More the latter, I suppose...I keep him around heheh

It's very weak DPS-wise but doable.

I'm sword/shield and Aiistair is sword/shield. Currently just got a sweet set of armor from the Warden's Keep. Running Blood Dragon armor on my main along with Bergen's honor. Also I have cold gloves for Wynne and Morrigan has fire gloves. I'll probably respec one of Wynne's lines to cold but will lose the bombs which are great.

Morrigan only has one fire spell as she shapeshifts, hexes, and has the full forcefield line.

I am finishing fights in Warden'skeep in a matter of seconds. The only tough one was a certain monster that has a tendency to regenerate health. It wasn't that hard though just eventually stun and beat the crap out of it thanks to death hex.

Right now my party is running on all cylinders and once the time comes we're gonna mow the heads of the blight with our zombie lawnmower :D.

As for being weak DPS wise that depends because you can weaken stuff they beat on with weapons that have enchantments. Death hex is nasty. Plus when you hit em from the back with special weapons is even better 8D.
