I gues it is safe to say that Grunt will in no way be a permanent squaddy?

Can any of you imagine him as a permanent squad member? I can see him having a mission or two but that is it.

I'm imagining he'd probably be leading the Krogan forces with Wrex/Wreav or going insane by himself rather than following Shepard around.

Grunt is a great Krogan and is really interesting. The problem is: he's young and he doesn't some epic story like Wrex so nobody gives a hope him. I took he in each mission and he was so funny! He will have some mission, i think. He's a good character and i really don't understand how the people can dislike him

It's safe to say all the squad/crew members of the SR2 knew the Alliance would arrest them eventually for working with Cerberus, so I assume all of them left the ship before the Alliance came to arrest Shepard. Grunt only has one place to go: Tuchanka, Clan Urdnot. I think it would be awesome if we could have a difficult mission on Tuchanka where Shepard almost gets overwhelmed by sheer numbers of reaperized goons and husks and then a whole bunch of TomKah's arrive with Grunt, Wrex and a krogan army to help Shepard.

Ahh well. A guy can dream.

I like this idea.

Yeah, I agree, would be cool and he will likely be limited to one or two missions no doubt.

I could have sworn in one of the demos or maybe it was just a screen shot, but it look like there was three different places on Tuchanka to land.  Maybe Grunt will help with one if not all those places.  I like Grunt.  He cracks me up.

Most likely I think. I predict he will be involved in Tuchanka missions (and Wrex on Sur'Kesh).

I think Grunt is about as likely as anyone of the other unannounced ME2 squad members.

It's safe to say that it's not really safe to say anything concerning Grunt.

I believe I remember Casey Hudson saying that there's basically no such thing as a permanent squadmate in ME3.  In other words, we might be doing a lot of temporary team-ups.

Given that we will have a "smaller squad" which can already include two soldiers (Ashley and Vega), I'd say Grunt's chances are slim.

Grunt wants battle against the hardest enemy ever; and Shep is facing the Reapers, what's harder than that? Grunt has Shep as his battle-master and crant, that's a Krogan vow if there ever was one. Really there are lots of reasons Grunt would stay with Shep, not that I'm saying he will, and I honestly have little preference one way or the other, just pointing out that logically Grunt could stay with Shep for more than a few reasons.

Well that depends if bioware wants the token krogan for ME3. If yes, its grunt. If no, we already have potentially two soldiers in the pary.

I think it's safe to say so. First, it's likely that Normandy will be turned into love boat again with majority of squad being returning or new LI. Joined with smaller squad thing and the fact that there's 8 LI in series and one place is taken by Vega (and I strongly suspect there'll be new female), this doesn't leave much room for old unromanced squadmates.

And second thing is Vega again. Both of them are pure soldiers, so situation like in ME1 where in fact were two tanks - Ashley and Wrex - but one of them had biotic abilities so they didn't fall into same category. Both are tanks since it was told that Vega is about survivability and I have hard time imagining Grunt not being tank. So two completely similar in gameplay types? After refund guy will get his refund.

It seems like there is a boring policy that demands one token squadmate per race plus a bunch of boring humans. So perhaps Grunt is this krogan that Shepard brings along to get a multicultural exuse to have a mostly mono race crew. Unless Wrex is back, wich sadly seems less probable after they put him on a bus with all the other possibly killed squadmates in ME2, or we get a new krogan squadmate. Personaly I vote for Wrex, Grunt and a new female krogan as permanent squadmates but sadly I know little about writing or programming games so I understand if BioWare can't satisfy my personal opinions.

I'd also like to see a krogan in crew, but a)Mordin is VERY likely not returning. Who's new salarian? B) there weren't any salarian in ME1 c)Suicide Mission may wildly vary the number of alien squaddies survived, and I doubt there will be new krogan, quarian and turian for replacements.
