 I honestly don't believe that there will be "Romances" outside of those that come with the various squadmates, crewmembers. Some of the folks at BioWare, including our Beloved Casey Hudson, have a tendency of lumping certain game elements together when, in point of fact, they should be seperate. In this case, I would equate the outside "Romances" with being One Shot/Flings much in the same vein as The Consort's "Session" in ME1. In Mass Effect 2 it really seemed like they wanted to aid a touch of James Bond with Shepard, giving Him/Her the occasional man or woman that might represent some uncomplicated Sex for the sake of adding another layer of proverbial Bad-Assery.

As mentioned by others, Shiala is almost a certainty given her dialogue/caress in ME2. Parasini definantly seems like the tough no bull**** kind of woman that would happily test the bed-springs with a guy who impresses her, leaving the next morning with a quick kiss and a wink for Shepard. Another contender is Ada Wong who I think the Devs would add because of just how dedicated and spunky she is. And, yes, I would agree, interestingly enough, with those who think Al'Jilani would be an option; I've seen it suggested in other places and, also, it would be almost a hilarious option for those who, in previous games, have gone with the Left Hook choice when dealing with her Buill****. You could be in the middle of yet another anatagonising conversation and, right where she expects Shepard to swing at her (something, by the by, I think only Female Sheps should be allowed to do) there's suddenly the offer for Angry Consensual Sex. Bioware has done stranger things in thier games.  

Lastly, I also think Dr. Michele is a strong contender, despite her seeming to have more affection for Garrus who appeared to have known her closely for some time even before Shepard came along, something indicated in her ME2 email. Would be kind of hilarious if you went to see her with Garrus and she suggested a Threesome. While Garrus is my M!Shep's Best-Bro/Comrade in arms, I could see him being open to the suggestion. I mean, he'd avoid eye/physical contact with Garrus the entire time, but they would be able to share a mental High-Five afterward. This would all occur, of course, in the Lone-Shepard continuity. Could not go on a Sex Romp across the ME-Universe while dating Tali.

I've actually thought about programming a little mass effect date sim since there's still a while to go until mass effect 3 is out, it would just be a joke game though since you'd play as morinth looking for a date
