I just installed DA2 on my new computer, and since this is the first time I'm running Windows 7, some issues are just mindboggling.

The game is run through Steam, and unlike my experiences with XP and Vista, the savegames and overrides and whatnot aren't put in the local equivalent of "my documents", but are kept in the game folder proper. Fair enough, it's probably a Windows 7 thing.

Unfortunately, the configuration utility doesn't seem to have got the memo. Every time I launch the game, I get the utility and the cheery message that this appears to be the first time I'm running the game. The only result of this is yet another lonely, useless AppData folder in C:/Users/User Name. I'm up to fifteen of them now, just trying to work out what's going on, and it's completely pointless, as the game itself takes its cues from the settings file found among the rest of the game data in the Steam folder.

I get the feeling I need to tweak an .ini file to either clear up the Configuration Utility's confusion about where it's supposed to look, or disable it entirely. Helpful hints, anyone?

ETA: Never mind! I am the herpiest of all derps. The issue, she is fix'd. Nothing to see here. Move along!

Don't know about steam, but my game(Disk version) saves in C:user/documents/bioware/DA2 folder and not in the game folder. So it is either a setting you did in win7 or something messed up with steam.....good luck finding out which....
