I went walkin' down by the river
Feeling very sad inside
When all at once I saw in the sky
A little white cloud that cried
He told me he was very lonesome
And no one cared if he lived or died
And said sometimes the thunder and lightning
Make all little clouds hide
He said "Have faith in all kinds of weather"
"For the sun will always shine"
"Do your best and always remember"
"The dark clouds past with time"
He asked if I'd tell all my world
Just how hard those little clouds try
That's how I know I'll always remember
The little white cloud that sat right down and cried

"The little white cloud that sat right down and cried"
See, the cloud is crying, and sitting down, which is also something clouds don't do, they float.
Me made all squiggly wiggly inside when me reads that. If that helps.

If it is a deity system your interested in, this is the one I use for most of my builds:

Many thanks to the Krit, for making this system.
To the OP, once again stop calling people names, it can start flame wars, and is against the forum rules. It doesn't mater what the name is, don't do it.

Well, golly gee. I wonder how that happened. Surely you're completely innocent and it's all big, mean SHOVA's fault.shadowsallaround wrote...
I love deity system. But you banned me from your system.......grrrraaaaahhhaaaaaahaaaahaaa!!!!!
/sarcasm <_<
That Deity System looks nice, though. Since NWN lacks any sort of Alignment and behavior monitoring for clerics, a supplemental system to handle that might be handy, and new Domains surely couldn't hurt. My only concern is for how the system accounts for differing codes of behavior; even though they're all (most likely) Evil, a cleric of Mask, a cleric of Velsharoon, a cleric of Loviatar and a cleric of Umberlee will all behave in four different ways. Some evil gods are psychotics who are in no way compatible with civilized ideals and will face rejection and persecution at every turn, while other evil gods can find cozy little niches in even the most Lawful Good societies. That's why Maskists, Cyricists and Sharites are hounded to the ends of the world, even as Banites can be found among the officers of practically any army, Loviatans can be found among any nation's torturers and interrogators, and Umberlants openly walk the streets of most port towns, preaching doom to any who fail to give the sea goddess her due.
So not every Evil cleric steals, not every Evil cleric murders and not every Evil cleric trucks in the undead. Does the Deity System account for all this?

I banned him before he ever logged in.
Wids I suggest silence, as he/she will never stop with the idiotic posts.
The deity system is useful, helps sort out a lot of what was never implemented for alignment, or clerics, and other religious nuts. It has its limitations, some of which you touched on in the alignment thread. What it does do, is make an auto system that checks a clerics domains with the pantheon in use, so you don't get evil clerics with a domain of healing, or what not. It checks on level up.and will de-level if appropriate. it also checks for deity favored weapon, which is a nice addition. It does add a alignment hit to evil if a evil type spell is cast by a good type cleric. My version adds a good hit if a evil casts a good type spell. I am working on adding chaos and lawful, and neutral hits too. The hit is small, 1 point for 1st level spell, 2 for 2nd etc. The system also sends a tell to a DM that a alignment shift took place, and why. This system will in no way replace a DM. It will however keep DMs from having to character check and focus on the RP.
As to the last part of your post, Yes and no. I added Sir Elrics XP for trap/lock disarm. I also added a hit to chaotic alignment for locks, for unlocking them. (if lawful or neutral, chaotic takes no hit) I added the better turn undead system, and made it so evil clerics could gain undead companions for a time. However its not a forever type of joining, and it can bite you if your not careful. But most of what you are talking about is really a RP instance, and would take a competent DM to oversee.

Cool! So this is where we can come if we want to start trading warez, porn and recipes for bathtub explosives, right?NWN DM wrote...
Pretty obvious this area has been abandoned by Mods.
I agree that clerics who use their deity's favored weapon could stand to receive a bonus for that, but I don't think that clerics should be penalized for wielding other weapons. Umberlee might be flattered by the Umberlant cleric who wields a trident, but she probably wouldn't go out of her way to hinder the Umberlant who wields a rapier or a dagger. A typical deity should at least be wise enough to understand that, if your cleric's serving your word faithfully, he's skilled with warhammers and thus, wielding a warhammer helps that cleric serve as a stronger champion of the faith, why force that cleric to wield a bastard sword instead?
I also don't agree that Evil clerics should be incapable of healing, just as Good clerics shouldn't be incapable of harming. Wise evildoers know well enough to keep their allies and strongest lackeys healthy enough to serve, stay in the fight and keep from becoming dead weight (or useless corpses). Plus, sometimes the villain has to commit a lesser act of good in order to deliver a greater masterstroke or to lead other people astray. Like when the Devil healed those three people and saved their lives in the snow globe episode of that old Friday the 13th series; the price of that grace was their eternal servitude, of course, and when one of the lackeys found her sense of righteousness and turned on the Devil, the Devil's blessing was withdrawn and she went right back to bleeding out from the suicide attempt that the Devil saved her from in the first place. Sometimes, you gotta give a little in order to take a lot.
And just when I thought that Pirate Isles was the only server with a Rebuke Undead system, I found that the Shores of Winter server has that too. Rebuking undead is starting to catch on, huh?

My own PW has used a rebuke system for the past two years as well.

We're going to have something similar in Adelan(New PW), although our lore isn't default D&D canon this time, so things'll work a bit different.

Considering that I've only seen it on two servers out of all the ones I've sampled over the years, I'd say "Yes".wyldhunt1 wrote...
Is Rebuke really that unusual?
Even hoary old Evil-friendly, Gothy-as-hell Prisoners of the Mist doesn't have Rebuke Undead! Can you believe it?
