So what are your ideas about what Nova could be?

I assume it's a biotic power, as to the effect, I've got no idea. But one things for sure, I'm looking forward to new info.

It's probably a close range burst power, like I've been predicting the Vanguard would get.  "Nova" abilities in the Diablo series are bursts that emanate from the caster.  Other games have followed this naming structure, but it's certainly not universal.

I don't think its a power, I think its an effect of combining Inferno ammo and Charge. Like maybe you spread the effect of incendiary ammo around, basically by making it explode off the target. Supernova.

Inferno Ammo already has a built-in AOE function.

Obviously, but I think its just a play on the name. And yes Inferno ammo has an AOE function after an upgrade, but with a combo like that, you basically use it twice and without the upgrade.

There has been talk of Charge (and Shockwave) gaining combo effects, but the ability mentioned that might trigger the combo was Warp, not Inferno Ammo.

Would be cool if you could use your ammo power in combo with one of your powers, kinda like how the soldier has with concussive shot. Give all combat classes like that, eh?

So, it's going to be like Final Fantasy XI where combining attacks creates a secondary effect? In FFXI it's called a Skill Chain.

Shockwave evolution maybe? In which it explodes at contact? Nova may not be the same as Supernova, but it is "a cataclysmic nuclear explosion in a star caused by the accretion of hydrogen on to the surface of a white dwarf star, which ignites and starts nuclear fusion in a runaway manner." Note the bolded words. It would be awesome.

Certainly not.  And it wouldn't even be unprecedented, as Concussive Shot is supposed to now combo with ammo powers to create different effects.  I just don't think your guess is right, that's all.  Charge, a biotic power, somehow tapping into an ammo power to create unique effects seems awkward to me.

But seriously, I am predicting awesome. If lazuli is right, this is going to be a great skill that makes Charging an enemy squad a lot easier. Fingers crossed for some combos with other biotic powers.
