Hope they replace pull with carnage.

That is a very bad idea. Pull is far more tactical.

Of course, no existing powers are being taken away, so it won't happen anyway.

It's probably a biotic version of the awesomebutton. One hit kill...push a button....AWESOME!

Sounds like some sort of flare attack to me.

Nova has to be a bonus power then. A bonus biotic repulse is what it is, I'm sure. =)

I think it's the Vanguard's secondary class-specific power.  Adepts have Overpower, Vanguards have Nova.

Every class has 8 powers:

Vanguard:

1) Inc ammo
2) Cryo ammo
3) Charge
4) Pull
5) Shockwave
6) Fortitude
7) Assault Mastery
8) Nova then?

Then Vanguard is a 75% Adept and 25% Soldier.

Where in the hell did you learn math? Or are you actually inclined to consider Assault Mastery and Fitness Biotic powers before you'd call them Combat powers? Either way, lol wut?

Its actually not a power, its a renegade option to destroy the Reapers on Earth... you know by causing a Nova.

More of an Adept man myself, but this sounds like a nice addition to the Biotic Cannonball class.

Here's hoping they don't overpower it by letting you take it to the "Super" level.

That does not follow from your list of powers, but actually, I prefer a 75% biotic over a 50/50 split for the vanguard.
Oh please let Nova be something useful, and usable at mid-range.

Questionable classification/math aside, Bioware ditched the tech/biotic/combat meters from the series long ago.  The Vanguard doesn't need to feature an even split of combat and biotic powers for it to be the Vanguard.

The Vanguard's identity shifted dramatically in ME2, turning it from a bland combat/biotic hybrid into a master of close quarters combat that uses both combat and biotic powers.  That is the identity I would like to see preserved in ME3, not one of "IT NEEDS 50% COMBAT AND 50% BIOTICS OR IT ISN'T A VANGUARD."  Not that you said that, but you get the idea.  It makes about as much sense as people demanding the Sentinel's heavy melee attack feature one biotic arm and one tech arm.  Where is it written that everything the Sentinel does has to be an even split between tech and biotics?  Where is it written that everything the Vanguard does has to be an even split between combat and biotics?

I like how people always assume that vanguards use shotguns. I prefer to use a combination of biotic powers, assault rifle, and Charge. I save the shotguns for the melee-rushing enemies like husks and varren.

That said, if I were to take a wild guess, I'd say nova = an AoE (area of effect) attack centered around Shepard, that goes out in all directions. Kind of like Qui-Gon's shockwave in an old PlayStation game called Jedi Power Battles.

Am reckoning on an attack that resembles a vacuum-Singularity which can be charged for a warp detonation

In other words, it can pull multiple enemies into one spot, which can then be charged with explosive results

This. This would be fantastic, and highly tactical.

To beat a tired old horse, I would still rather nova be something like warp instead. Charge is so specialized that the vanguard is overpowered most of the time and rendered useless the rest of the time, like against YMIRs. A good mid-range standalone nuke that also synergises with charge somehow; now that would be great.

If I would have to guess, it's where shepard punches the ground and damages enemies around him/her with a biotic wave

Rule of thumb: don't necro threads that are months old.

Most of the people who posted in this thread five months ago probably know what a nova is now as well. You didn't need to post that.
