Hi,
I recently had my computer die on me, so have reinstalled on a new PC.
I have the ME2 Collectors Edition with all the various codes and promos.

I have installed the game, however none of my codes work for anything. They all say that they have been redeemed already. This is true, I did redeem them some time ago (Feb 2010), however I would have expected my EA account to reflect that.

I think I have the correct EA account details. My old email address used to be flicktheswitch (a) clear.net.nz so I have updated that to my new one, other than that I'm fairly sure it's the same account, yet none of the content I purchased, nor the promo code enabled content is available to me.

I've registered the game to this account with no trouble, and I don't think I have more than one EA/BW account, although it's possible I'm in the wrong one, I guess.

Can someone please help me? Ideally I'd like to be able to reactivate the various bonus items from the collectors edition, and retrieve the DLC content I've already purchased as I really don't want to have to purchase it again.

I can supply pics of the box contents, the codes, and a copy of the original invoice if required.

Cheers

You can always check you registered content on the following website http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php. If it shows as registered there you should just be able to download and install it. However, if it isn't there you've probably registered them on another account which means that you'll have to contact EA-support and ask them to merge your accounts.

[edit] A general tip for internet security: Do never post your e-mail on forums! It might be used for hacking accounts and spam.

Kloreep spent a lot of time and effort on creating the Tech FAQ which answers these questions and more. Such a shame nobody even bothers trying to look for answers themselves these days, and expects others to hand them everything on a plate.

Thanks Dinria, I wouldn't usually post an email address, however this one is old and now defunct and no danger to anyone.

Thanks Bogsnot for demonstrating the enternal downside of forums. A link minus the sarcasm would've been more helpful.I'll review the Tech FAQ.

Cheers.

Nope, no sarcasm, Plenty of exasperation though,
Of course that happens when you see the same questions get asked over and over again, almost to the point of them being Frequently Asked Questions.

hint: now -that- was sarcasm. ;)

Agreed.  I'm not sure what part of the blatantly obvious "read first" thread isn't clear.  After all, it's not even like the Dragon Age forum where there are too many stickies.  Nope, right by the top here.....

Hmm, I don't know...I can see the tempation being too great for someone freshly arrived here, having a frustrating problem and being desperate for help...and they see a current technical support forum where people are actively posting and they think "Ahh, I can finally get some help with this problem I'm having with the game" and they dive right in and post a question/plea for help about a problem that's been addressed a thousand times in the past week alone.

Frustrating for us, frustrating for them.  Honestly, nobody reads stickies...not until they're pointed out to them anyway, and to be even more completely honest:  a lot of folks find stickies to be extremely long and cumbersome and filled with a ton of information that doesn't pertain to their particular problem.

Maybe I'm just too 'new' myself, but I do feel a tad sorry for the new folks who come here and get the wrong first impression.  Most people here are helpful, in their own way, or they wouldn't still be hanging around, helping.  Some are just dealing with a bit more pent-up frustration than others.  Comes with the experience, I guess. ;-)  Now, everyone play nice.

Yes, my padawan, I remember when you were fresh faced and keen, how quickly you have become jaded like the rest of us.
We have taught you well. :bandit:
