Hi all,

I am getting a reproducible crash with DA2. I just started the expedition and found the way around the rubble. Now, whenever I try to turn the camera to my right at this position, the game will stop working.

I have stored the save under
http://www.swordguy.de/QuickSave_1.7z

Could anybody try this, and tell me if it is a problem of the savegame or of my installation? Or has anybody heard of such a crash before?

A reproduceable crash normally means a corrupt save file. If you start from an old save and work your way back to that point it shouldn't happen anymore.

This can be avoided by using hard saves whenever possible. Quicksaves have a much higher chance of becoming corrupt files.

Right. Thanks for the reply, but here is the Thing:

I tried loading an old save, but it did not change a thing.

Now I played annother char to the same spot in the game, and it will crash just the same, at exactly the same spot in the game, in exactly the same way.

(If I try to turn the Camera right, it will crash. Anything else works perfectly)

So. What now? Play some more DA:O instead?

If you are going to have an attitude about it i won't even bother. You're desperate to start blaming the game/Bioware/EA/Whatever but if this were an issue with the game everyone would have that same problem. I tested it and cannot reproduce the crash in 10 attempts.

In these cases the simplest solutions are normally the best. but since you couldn't be bothered to read the stickies and provide a proper problem report i can't suggest anything else. Unless you want me to take another wild guess. Or you could blame the game/Bioware/EA if you want.

Multiple characters crashing at the exact same point, is usually a file corruption. It can be game, driver or other related item such as mouse or sound card as well. First step is to reinstall the game, as a guess, since no hardware and version data was given.

Ok, so reinstalling the Game did resolve the problem, thanks.

Would be nice to have a tool that checks file integrety and can repair an installation.
