Really? Alenko and Williams, are going to be spectres in ME3?

Garrus has gone a little rogue with Shepard. Ash and Kaidan on the other hand where good girl/boy and worked through their ranks without causing trouble.

Yeah Garrus blew his shot at spectre when he basically left Citadel space to go shoot up mercs on Omega. He didn't even want the job after that anyway. As he found out in ME1 not even spectres are immune to red tape when the councils on your back.

*sigh*

Here we go, about the thousandth topic bashing Ashley and Kaidan ("p*ssy", "b*tch", "racist bimbo sl*t" etc. etc. etc.) and insisting Garrus should be a spectre. *yawn*

It's a good thing not causing trouble is not a requirement for joining the Spectres.

Funny enough there's been no bashing of Ashley or Kaidan here yet. Why you felt the need to post that I'll never know.

I don't think it has been officially confirmed yet, but it's pretty commonly accepted that, yes, Ashley/Kaiden is a Spectre in ME3, and Bioware has made no effort to deny it. Plus if you look closely at Ash/Kaiden's armor from the screenshots we have of them, you can see the Spectre insignia.

BioWare confirmed it a while ago that Ashley and Kaidan are Spectres.

I'm happy for them, and I'mma let them finish, but Commander Shepard was the only human Spectre to prevent mass extermination on the Citadel.

Well I mean, spectres do have to do what they have been told right? A spectre can't say: I'm not doing it, or I feel like doing something completely different. They just have the authority to do it how they see fit, the result should be almost the same though.

Okay, well it hasn't happened yet, and there's no gaurentee it will.  jreezy has a point, you are only egging people on when you post that kind of stuff.

I don't get why people feel the need to say these things.  My best guess is that it makes them feel smart and sort of above the rest of the "babbling crowd" or something;  an ego-stroking mechanism.  In any case it's one of my pet peeves.  It just seems arrogant to me.

Really?  I must have missed that.

Exactly. Do it how they see fit. What's wrong with causing a little trouble as long as they get the job done? Shepard has caused a lot of problems in one way or another but he got the job done. Saren as well.

No, none of those things. It's as simple as me being annoyed to all hell by the Kaidan/Ash bashers. Perhaps I am unintentionally "egging them on", but I'm pretty sure they'd do a good enough job of making their presence known without my posting in the first place. You'll have to excuse me, but it's just that on this particular matter I have.. come to expect certain things from posters here. And it irritates me. That may be cynical, but it's my view. But no more, there is no point to my arguing this any further.

I know what it's like to have something you very much enjoy be routinely posted-against with no apparent rhyme or reason other than to loudly hate, Golden-Rose. Personally I would not have used such harsh language in the matter but all that aside, I can certainly understand why you'd feel compelled to type that.

For those who don't like the VS being a spectre

Imo the VS being a spectre could bring some interesting dialogue

I recall that the devs also implied there would be times your opinions would clash with theirs. Perhaps if you did something that could be seen as anti-human, Ashley might get into an argument with you? And then you would either be able to dismiss her, or convince her that would you did was for the greater good. Or something along those lines.

I think its more that humanity wanted a new Spectre after Shepard it became clear he is working with Cerberus (despite your views on them, they are a declared enemy of the Council and are viewed as a terrorist organisation) and that won't look good seeing as Shepard is meant to be humanity's 'poster Spectre', and so they may have fast-tracked the career of Ashley or Kaiden in order to get another human Spectre out into the public eye quickly. I'm sure both of them are capable of being Spectres and would probably have been made Spectres anyway, but I think they were probably given a fast-track to it because both Anderson can vouch for them (he worked with Kaiden even before ME1 and he is either a Councillor or Udina's advisor).
