As some of the more observant people have already noticed, we did have a big group of international press up here to the BioWare office last month. They got to see lots of new stuff about ME3 (all of it in my opinion a large degree of awesome). The way such gatherings occur, to make it fair for all the press who attend, is to embargo them to not publish their articles on the web or in magazines until such date arrives. This does appear to be one of the groups that was up here (I wasn't part of the event, so didn't meet who was here this time), but I could be wrong. So it is likely something that was shown to them while they were up here (if indeed they were).

There is SO much that we could still reveal between now and launch that I am sure that whatever they do call the "killer new feature" is going to be pretty damn fine indeed. Still, whatever it actually is will also likely be less cool to some and not all that interesting to others.

Is it worth buying this issue? Absolutely.

Will this "killer new feature" be as cool as choclate covered free money? Well, that'll depend on whether you like chocolate or not.

How would co-op work? Would you have two Shepard clones running around? Would the second player take over one of the squadmates (of their choice?)? If the second player takes over a squadmate, will he or she choose which one and get to determine the talents? Or would they just stick with the first player's talent choices? Is there a new character yet to be revealed that will serve as the second player for a co-op mode (like Dom in GoW)? These are some pretty big issues that would require some hefty design changes to implement co-op in ME3. I don't know what it is, but I don't think it's co-op.

Multiplayer sounds plausible. They're calling it a killer feature already because it would kill the series for a lot of people..

In all seriousness: Probably something small and insignificant, or based on more rumors like all the other 'official' news we got from various magazines earlier.

The only multiplayer I support (...err, except) is 3 player online co-op. Anything else is too much work.

Co-op would be fun if done right. I have a few friends who love this game too and it would be cool to play it with them.
