Looking forward to spend 40 quid on a feature I won't use, how many years will it be until The Mass Effect series is finally trashed, milked and dragged through the mud by Bioware? If multiplayer is which obviously is, bioware will only focus on making it better, thus wasting more resource on this piece of **** and less towards campaign. Part of me hopes Mass Effect 3 fails so badly, that would be one juicy slap in the face for them.

How do you know what they will focus on it? How do you know the campaign would get less resources if there was multiplayer?  One is not mutually exclusive to the other. Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Dead Space 2 had multiplayer and excellent single player.

Excellent or not, short is bad, and MP will shorten singe player.

Why would it? Devs already said the single player would be the same length as ME2.

Devs say a lot of things. MP games track-record, however, is irrefutible evidence.

Is it? Uncharted 2 was so much longer than UC1 yet had MP. SP campaign in Brotherhood didn't suffer. It's all about manpower and from what we know, if there is MP in ME3, then it was done by BioWare Montreal so that would mean they have enough manpower to make the SP capmaign just as long as if it would be without MP.

Track records say that Bioware is accurate when talking about game length. They said ME2 will be 20-30 hours to beat and for most player it was.

Dosnt count IMHO.everyone already had predicted ME2 to be 20-30 hours and when BW comfirmed it.no impact of them revealing was made.i believe that person is talking about the other aspects of BW track record.giving their history specially over that last four years.

^What? Most players beat ME2 in 20-30 hours? I can't beat it in less than 40 hours! Only once I did it, and it was when I skipped all the loyalty missions because I wanted the 'everybody dies' ending.

I don't understand what you are talking about. I am responding to him talking about how developers tend to overstate how long there game is. I showed him that Bioware was accurate with how long ME2 before.

On sale from October 25th (Tuesday). Article from CVG: www.computerandvideogames.com/320878/mass-effect-3-killer-new-feature-reveal-next-month/

Just a reminder, Ray Muzyka just had an interview with Xbox World.

I feel it will be longer hair styles. Fans voted for the femshep with the longer hair style and Bioware knows that fans want longer hair styles do to that vote.

Frankly, I don't think it will be MP and I have seen nothing from the developers suggesting there would be.

As it is, the Devs do not comment on such speculation and have a very long history of not commenting on such speculation. As far as I have seen, the ME trillogy is intended to be SP, and suddenly making ME 3 a multi-player game just wouldn't make sense at this point, although I would like for both the Dragon Age and ME games series as multiplayer (Co-op).

Repeated: "But BioWare dismissed forum chatter on the subject when a rep said: "Mass Effect 3 is a single-player game."

Most of the AC fans over at the Hidden Blade consider the singleplayer of AC:B to the be absolute worst in the series. Short and overly scripted.  My wife is as huge an AC fan as I am a BioWare fan and AC:B is the one AC game she refuses to replay.

Then they're being overly snooty. It was fine. On top of that, even if you don't like the singleplayer. there's no way to know whether it would have better or worse with or without it.

Developers have flatly refused to outright deny it when asked about it.

Person: "Will there be multiplayer in ME3?"
CaseyHudson: "We're working to make a strong single-player game."

As you can see, that's not what was asked. The constant dodging of the question when asked about it directly is not reassuring.

Especially the kind of an info it provides and wording - "Online Multiplayer Pass". It's kinda too much of a thing that looks like the retailer would get directly from EA to be a pure speculation.......

Not to menntion that it's very local.

If BioWare wants something big announced, they'll do it themselves.

Honestly, I think some people just want ME to have MP because it gives them something else to *****. Seriously, all it takes is a random article - from South Africa, of all places - that isn't official and looks like something I could have made in Photoshop with ten minutes, and people start going ballistic. And it's not even the first or the third time.

When the Xbox cover broke, it turned out to be nothing.
When the guy at the convention announced it, it turned out to be nothing.

Unnamed sources, vague rumors, straight up falsehoods and not one bit of concrete evidence. The only thing even remotely substantive was the hiring ad, and we don't even know what exactly that position was for or if it even got filled.

Personally, I'm of the belief that, if it did have multiplayer, they would probably reveal it early on, because they can't very well court the 'GoW crowd' if they don't actually show anything. But it doesn't really matter. October 25 will come and go, it'll probably turn out to be nothing, and in the meantime whiners and moaners will have plenty to whine and moan about.

What exactly does the part in bold mean?

There's also the possibility that it'll get revealed prior to the print date, and the magazine is just reporting that topic. After all, the press knows information about the game that's still under embargo from EA.

I'm fairly sure whatever this killer feature is will be what was announced at the EA Las Vegas conference.

Really? Most assassins creed fans that I know in real life and on the internet think of brotherhood as the best of the series.

Bleh. I've said before that multiplayer would suit ME quite well (if done right), and I stick to that statement.

However, I think it might be something Kinect-wise, like the option of having the Kinect scan your face, so it automatically generates a custom Shepard closest to your face.

Brotherhood is the best of the series. And the multiplayer is damn fun.

Yous complainers can go on complaining if ME3 does turn out to have multiplayer. Go ahead and boycott it or whatever dumb thing you'll do about it. The rest of us will be over here, playing the game and enjoying it.
