The more I think about it, the less sense it makes.
If Gamestop leaked this - and they've been known to leak such things before - I'd buy. But this is a random retailer in South Africa. The advertisement obviously isn't official. You mean to tell me that BT games is privy to information that none of the other stores much higher up on the food chain - Best Buy, Gamestop - have learned about?
Welll it was a South African magazine that gave the first glimpse of Fenris for DA2 long before their marketting had gone into over-drive and THAT turned out to be true. In fact, a lot of the non-NA magazines seemed to find scraps of information that weren't being given to the more popular outlets.
Not saying that is the case now, but there is precedence.

If you dont like MP aspects of games which are usually optional then the simple answer is not play multiplayer modes.
No need to whine about them and think it will destroy the single player game, thats just a childish and narrow minded reaction.
Personally my multiplayer shooter fix will be from BF3, but if ME3 does come with multiplayer....i will certainly try it before i form an opinion......as many others should.

I don't think it's so much that it will "destroy" the single player game, but rather, that the time spent on MP could instead be used on adding more to the 1P. This is the finale to Shepard's story; people don't want anything to be left on the table.
If EA brings in an entirely different team (which games are often known to do) for the MP component (assuming that it even exists) while the main team isn't bothered, I'm okay with it. Hell it could even be fun. Resident Evil wasn't made for MP, but I've played its Versus mode for two years now despite being a half-assed expansion of Mercs.

Is there much point discussing a feature reveal that's over three weeks away? Maybe if this magazine were to be released next week I could see the point of a thread speculating about the contents of the article. I can't bring myself to care until this magazine is on the stands.
You clearly don't understand the purpose of forums.

1. Multiplayer-We've said our piece on this one, myself included on why I think it unlikely.
2. 3-D-This one I think has a pretty good chance. The devs have shown they are not above gimmicks (Kinect), and the biggest multimedia gimmick (aside from the Wii) out there right now is 3D.
3. Ship vs. Ship (space) Combat. Here is one that has been making the player wish list for awhile. I would give this one a moderate chance. But even if it turns out to be the feature talked about, look for something like the rail combat Bioware is dev'ing for KOTOR-online, not Privateer.
4. Vehicle exploration/combat (not space). They tried this in the 1st two games, and I'll be generous and say the reaction to both was mixed. It's not out of the question for them to try and home-run it in round three.
5. Space babies-Had to throw a silly one from some of the random BSN forum titles I see now and then. Nope, at least not as a OXM feature announcement.
6. Xbox HD install. I would rank this as probably not, given Mr. Holmes statements that it was not feasible/practical in ME2, and he thought the same would hold true to #3. But there seemed and impetus to at least look into it, and it would fit the OXM format well, since it mainly deals with Xbox an Xbox feature. Maybe
7. Transferable save files. Given it is OXM, and most request are to transfer a save 'from' the Xbox, this would make little sense.
8. Fully customizable squad armor- Erm, if so probably not the OXM announcement. It would be more of a returning feature then a new one.
Did I miss any of the big ones?

Given the intentional word choice of "killer new feature", I'd say that only 1-3 are viable options at this point. They're going out of their way to announce a coming announcement in a specific magazine. It has to be something bigger than transfering save files or minor RPG elements. That wouldn't be "killer" to most of the fanbase.
Considering it's in an Xbox-centric magazine, I'd also doubt 3D, since Sony's the one constantly touting the 3D aspect. The only other thing I can think of in addition to your list would be another Kinect feature of some sort, since, again, it's being published in an Xbox magazine.
Who knows. Maybe it'll be something none of us predicted. That'd be nice.

Ironic...if its MP, then BW basically is going with a feature that NONE of us wanted, instead of a feature ALOT of us wanted.
Why is that? Oh, because its not about the loyal customers who come here and give feedback, its about appealing to a wider base of customers who prefer the Online MP Pewpew over RPGs.
ME3 doesnt need MP. You have a valuable IP and can make as many variant spin off games (including FPS) as you guys want. But no...have to cram it into a single player RPG i guess.

As some of the more observant people have already noticed, we did have a big group of international press up here to the BioWare office last month. They got to see lots of new stuff about ME3 (all of it in my opinion a large degree of awesome). The way such gatherings occur, to make it fair for all the press who attend, is to embargo them to not publish their articles on the web or in magazines until such date arrives. This does appear to be one of the groups that was up here (I wasn't part of the event, so didn't meet who was here this time), but I could be wrong. So it is likely something that was shown to them while they were up here (if indeed they were).
There is SO much that we could still reveal between now and launch that I am sure that whatever they do call the "killer new feature" is going to be pretty damn fine indeed. Still, whatever it actually is will also likely be less cool to some and not all that interesting to others.
Is it worth buying this issue? Absolutely.
Will this "killer new feature" be as cool as choclate covered free money? Well, that'll depend on whether you like chocolate or not.

Thanks for the post, Chris. Whatever this feature ends up being, that's kinda how I've figured things are -- there's a lot of nifty stuff to reveal as part of the pre-launch marketing campaign and some will be more and less thrilled with each individual revelation than others.
