What do you expect? When you hear the same rumor from 4 different sources (all in turn based on the same original source) and you start repeating this rumor, without even validating the source, of course you're just going to fool yourself. Doesn't stop video game news sources from making themselves look like total idiots by taking rumors and then 'confirming them' themselves though.<_<

The other poster said it might be photoshopped. I explained why it wasn't likely to be the case. That doesn't mean it's accurate, as I've said numerous times it could be a communications snafu. But that does undercut the argument it's photoshop'ed. The next poster referenced the magazine in IsaacShep's original post, and I tried to explain that was not the source of the rumor, with links, the image and an explanation. Again, just trying to provide some clarity. I'm sorry if that somehow offended your sensibilities.
Didn't mean to attack you personally. I was just venting some frustrations about gaming sites fueling these rumors by 'confirming them' over and over, often using these forums as a 'source'. My reponse was a little much I see, didn't mean to offend you. I apologize if I did:(

However for everyone thinking of multiplayer you do have to realise that with a release over multiple platforms hte disparity of how good online play can be if mixed systems are linked MUST be taken into account. Remember that PC gamers (for the most part) tend to be at the top of the scale when pitted against console gamers. So unless they segregate players based on their system the current state of the game does not lend itself to a highly developed multiplayer aspect. How would you react if you found out that your friends could NOT link up with you to play the game because you played on different systems? Or if because you were playing on different systems the play was clunky?
To sum up I dont think the killer feature is multiplayer but something else within the game that our previous feedback has lead BioWare to believe is something that we want and that they can bring to the game. It (whatever it is) is something that they believe will set the game apart from others (and multiplayer does not do that) because if you recall they were looking to release ME3 later this year but pushed it to 2012 when COD/MW published their release date which would have sucked almost all sales from ME3 if it had tried to release at or close to it.
Anyways I doubt the killer feature is something that we are expecting but will be a surprise.

Watch this "killer new feature" be the friggin' omni-blade, or something else we already know about, or another unsubstatiated rumor.
I'll wait to see what the content of this article is, then wait for bioware to confirm, before I get excited about anything to do with this magazine.

Perhaps. But Chris Priestly still confirmed press visited BioWare last month for new ME3 presentation and that there will be new stuff coming out soon so even if not in Xbox World, some other outlet will reveal something interesting :happy:Cancer Puppet wrote...
Are we really still getting whipped up into a frenzy over xbox 360 world? I won't go so far as to call it worthless, but it teases things on the cover that turn out to be nothing. A lot.

On topic, I wonder if the new feature is the ability to use Kinect to use a photo of your own face when creating a custom character? Don't know if that has been mentioned or not.

Remember when they had all the ME3 news on the cover and it was f**king recap of ME and ME2?? I really wanted to demand my money back for false advertising, but I just don't buy it now, simpleCancer Puppet wrote...

Honestly, its because multiplayer DOES take up space on a disc, thus limiting the size and scope of a campaign. Multiplayer also does take away from a single player experience in that DLC now has to be devoted to patches, maps and game modes (c'mon, we both know that is true), and developer man-power.
- If they don't have enough space they could just increase the number of disks or put it on a separate disk.
- DLC is not the same as patches, and the teams that work on DLC would most likely not be the same that would work on fixing bugs and creating patches.

I'd say it's not confirmed, since BioWare themselves haven't said anything about it.

Does anyone have any images or videos of MP, are there sources with reliable info on MP from what I've heard/seen there is none, people are jumping to conclusions with this multiplyer rumor the only way to find out if MP is ME3 is to wait till the "Killer Feature" is revealled
I'm pretty sure there is no reliable information that MP will be in ME3. The same goes for any evidence as to what this 'killer feature' might be.
Personally, whilst I can't really see BW including MP in ME3, the following points are why I would not be totally surprised if it was:
- There has been no outright, concisely worded denial (e.g. "there is no MP in ME3"). There have been lots of waffly answers that taken at face value seem like a "no MP", but also seem to leave room for BW to include MP without what they said being a lie (imo at least).
- There is always at least one MP thread left open. Whilst they eventually slip down the forum pages, they are never closed for being about MP.
- In this thread is a link to an online retailer that says ME3 has MP. There is also a scan of flyer (I think it's a flyer - and it may be a fake for all I know) which mentions an online MP pass for ME3. Could be a mistake by the website and whoever created the flyer, but BW have not come out and denied it and said that the information is wrong. This is not some rumour from a gaming website. This is retailers putting information out there to potential customers. BW might not comment on rumours, but you would think they might challenge this it were untrue?

Regarding co-op/multiplayer, anyone see this?

?
Its the same as everything else, there all quoting the original source which is a unreputable magazine for preorder of mass effect 3, no matter which site it is, this source has not been confirmed by any of bioware or EA's representatives and is to be taken with a pinch of salt, also as its a foreign magazine i think south american, there is possible translation issues.
