Oh snap, Thane cure. I knew it was possible.

Just the kind of weak storytelling one would expect at this point.

And the worst is still yet to come I'm sure.

I hope its really hard to save Thane if it is possible. Every time Thane mentioned it it seemed to hopeless to be easily fixed in one or two missions. It be cool if very specific dialog and mission choices had to be used otherwise maybe the cure is too late or doesn't work at all. This is what I hope for all the other missions as well.

I agree that it's better to wait and see what will happen. Though I have to say that if they put a mission related to the cure that the hanar are (trying) developing, when the galaxy is at war it's likely that they're going to cure Thane, or at least give this possibility. Which it shouldn't be possible, considering what Thane said in ME2. Plus, how Thane could fight? Between ME2 and ME3 it passed one year. He shouldn't be able to fight.
Oh well, I'm happy for Thane fans. I don't think they could've expected something better than that, considering Thane's situation.

Of course, there's still the DEM through which we'll defeat the Reapers.

And Shepard magically impregnating Tali and Garrus, of course.

Lair of the Shadow Broker mentions that a lung transplant might be possible. If Shepard romanced Thane, he might re-evaluate his outlook on life and decide to accept the transplant to give himself some extra time with her. Where as a non-romanced Thane would still be perfectly content with his impending death.

IT'S A CONSPIRACY.

Seriously, though, WTF.  If it was plagarism or whatever, say "plagarism" or "it is against site rules to post magazine transcripts."

Could be him trolling us into thinking it's real through acting like he's been Priestly'd? Because the real Priestly always posts his evil smileys UNDER the posts themselves.

How does what I feel makes ME1 a great game have anything
to do with the ME series becoming shooter first and everything else second ?

You previously said that you can't necessarily pick which feature that makes ME1 better than ME2 or 3.

Again that's quoted out the context, here is my original post on it.  And the clarification, so I think it's apparent what I was saying and it wasn't what you stated above.  See how you hone in one part and not the whole and it completely changes the meaning ?  That's why I won't talk about ME1 features it's meaningless in this conversation.

A conversation in which I asked what's the "chocolate" was in ME3 ? Or to define "chocolate." I was never answered, I was questioned and I answered.  It's not the answer because you desire so you push the issue, as if it helps your argument.  It really only makes you look more desperate, when you and others who've taken to your antics dodge just about every question I ask.  Knowing, with every answer your that much closer to being proven of not having  point, but you already know that.  So you duck, dodge and attempt to misdirect.

1136342t54 wrote...
Even if we assume what you are saying is true about the whole shooter first everything else second. That is how both ME games were like.

Both games featured combat, ME1 was considered a action RPG.  ME2's combat was more Shooter like then Me1's, this can't be argued, successfully.  If you want to try post away your examples and proof.  Anyway the ME3 demo has shown it contained more shooter related design/content, more was added in then what it previously had.  This is also not disputable.  Hence, my saying "It's moving closer and closer to being a shooter first and everything
else second..." is impossible to disprove, especially, at this point.

1136342t54 wrote...
ME2 actually sacrificed powers and stats but in ME3 they are increasing the amount of powers and stats to a similar level to ME3. They are even raising the level to 60. Most of the Combat changes seem to be going back to ME1 in some ways but obviously modifying it. ME1 while a great game the combat was subpar and I was expecting more.

Again, what does any of this have to do with the series including more FPS design/content?

1136342t54 wrote...
Even so ME1 is still large part combat no matter how you see it.

Was that ever my claim ?  Or are you saying ME1 was a shooter ?  It was/is a(n) action RPG.

1136342t54 wrote...
ME3 appears to be going more with the ME1 approach and it is giving us more options with the powers evolutions and we can mod weapons far more better then we could in both games. They've only really shown combat a lot in ME3 because that is what they do for demos.

See above.

I can safely say the series has very little in the way of First-Person Shooter design/content.

I didn't really think it was a spoiler even. We reunite with Thane on a planet named Invictus and go together on a rescue mission there. That's basically what it says.

So Thane is their secret feature "X", "W", whatever the letter. Sounds good.

Well Thane did say Hanars are trying to cure that diseases and we do have almost a year for that to happen.

As long as it's Thane vs. every other Drell with Kepral's, then I'm kind of okay with this. Still, considering his "incurable" disease, and Mordin's age, I was expecting both of them to die to make it easier on BioWare. I do approve of their inclusion, but a cure for Thane seems... seems kind of like a copout from a really good, personal death scene. I guess it's because justice for FemSheps who romanced him has gotta be served.

It isn't. Obviously the bit about Thane was taken from a larger article.
