Man, if it includes some sort of multiplayer that would be awesome in my opinion. Of course I do see why lots of people also don't want multiplayer because it could ruin the single player campaign in many ways. Although I do think that an online co-op multiplayer game mode such as survival or something would do just fine.

That is assuming the same teams are making both multiplay and singleplayer.

I was never pro-multiplayer, but now I dont feel anti-multiplayer really at all, not at this point in the road to release. Everything we've seen so far has been single player only and it all looks and sounds amazing. If they announce now that they've added multiplayer, competitive and/or co-op, I dont think I could complain, rather I think I would be extremely intrigued and maybe even excited. I think they're is some genuine potential there for something very cool and fun.

Mate, this is a rather poor stereotype I have to refute. While FPS games are developed for the casual gamer in mind, there is a level of complexity involved to make you a good player. You have to be aware of your surroundings, your allies, the level itself and reaction with slip second reflexes to get the drop on people. Granted, Black Ops moved away from that approach and became more "first shot wins" but most FPS demand strategy if you want to be considered a good player. Believe me, I wasn't ranked top level in Halo 2 because I could just "pull a trigger."

FPS get a bad rap because of the young crowd who scream every slur you can imagine and acts like they're the best in the world because of a single good game. If we had less of them on Xbox Live, things would be much nicer.

The funny thing is, FPSs aren't the only games with such a crowd amongnst the numbers. The only difference is that, with FPS, you can hear them.

Because the official website hasn't revealed MP yet. The scan from the retailer obviously leaked out.  Its plain as day that ME3 is going to have MP of some sort.  I don't have much interest in ME anymore, but I think its just denial at this point to think ME3 isn't going to have some kind of online pass/MP.

1st XBOX World said ME3 Multiplayer is confirmed but we only got a very small paragraph that they trust rumor about it and MANY gaming journalists site use it as a source.

2nd why would Bioware give that such big info to unknown magazine in country that doesn't have big gaming market?

3rd Online Multiplayer pass doesn't even exist and why would that be listed on Collector Edition?


Anything online ME3 will have is something like Cerberus Network we had in ME2.

While I don't approve of the hate speech, I have to echo the rest of your question.  Making multiplayer only available in the collector's edition would be a mistake.

The Cerberus Network was also originally only advertised in the ME2 Collector's Edition before it was revealed for all copies of the game.

Come on people look at the past and try and use common sense, these MP passes have always been included in ALL new copies of the game. It's not going to be exclusive to the CE.

Can't wait for the official confirmation, should it ever come, I'll have buckets of popcorn on standby.

It looks like they're simply saying the Collector's Edition comes with the online pass. Its another bullet point they can slap on the box. Its marketing.

Chances are it'll be included with every new copy, as the whole online pass is used to reduce the value of used copies and monetize the game.

Knowing them, they'd probably ignore the feature itself and focus on a rumor instead, using it in their cover as well. I fully expect:

I doubt/hope it isn't MP. What annoys me most about all these MP rumor threads are all the proponents of MP failing to see the writing on the wall. MP does in fact hurt SP and there are very few examples of it not hampering SP. (the only two examples I can think of are Uncharted 2 and any Rockstar release) Second, I have no use for MP, CO-OP or otherwise so why should I have to pay for something that I'm not going to use. It's why I buy SP only games. (with some exceptions)

If there is multiplayer, there is no reason to believe it would only be on a single edition.
