I've said it before and I'll say it again. If there is MP in ME3 I hope they at least put it on a separate disc. I desperately need another coaster.

They have. Twice.

No one believed them back then, it will totally work now. Why? Because the BSN resident networking code experts know how MP games are developed. They are experts after all.

I recall seeing one interview with Casey where he gave a long winded answer that, imo, ruled out MP.  And that's the problem - they always provide these lengthy answers when, as marshalleck said, only 5 words are needed.

PS If you can provide links to the two tweets/posts etc that deny MP, it would be appreciated

It seems likely to me that they simply never said those five words because they're not in the business of quelling buzz about their game, unless it's exceedingly negative. I wouldn't take the lack of disconfirmation as particularly telling either way.

Exactly.

By being not saying the exact words, "there is no ****ing multiplayer, go **** yourselves," BW keeps half of its fanbase in a state of perpetual panic, thus increasing excitement for the game.

No, they've said that ME3 will have a good singleplayer experience and story.

Ugh, they did say it wouldn't fit, it's in a video interview with Casey somewhere and I'm too lazy to look for it.

False or not, the gossip level is pretty high. We have this and S/S Romance...awareness for ME3 and the ME franchise in general has been increasing exponentially...

For those saying that multiplayer would take the game to the next level, well yes it would. That's not necessarily a good thing, however. Even if BioWare created an entire different gameplay system just for MP, from scratch, the inevitable balance issues and the terrible community being unleashed further, would lead to either ME3 getting a bad name, or the game being mostly abandoned after a while.

Honestly, I think some people just want ME to have MP because it gives them something else to *****. Seriously, all it takes is a random article - from South Africa, of all places - that isn't official and looks like something I could have made in Photoshop with ten minutes, and people start going ballistic. And it's not even the first or the third time.

When the Xbox cover broke, it turned out to be nothing.
When the guy at the convention announced it, it turned out to be nothing.

Unnamed sources, vague rumors, straight up falsehoods and not one bit of concrete evidence. The only thing even remotely substantive was the hiring ad, and we don't even know what exactly that position was for or if it even got filled.

Personally, I'm of the belief that, if it did have multiplayer, they would probably reveal it early on, because they can't very well court the 'GoW crowd' if they don't actually show anything. But it doesn't really matter. October 25 will come and go, it'll probably turn out to be nothing, and in the meantime whiners and moaners will have plenty to whine and moan about.
