Sorry, dude is deserving of all the hate he gets. Being a "nice guy" to me, is really not much anything particularly deserving of much respect. But then he's not even really a nice guy, so there goes his one redeeming quality. What are you left with? Security guy who was lucky to be picked up from the Lazarus station.

I actually hate him like a teacher that hates a student who's smart but an underachiever. Jacob definitely could be awesome, but he's woefully far from it.

Because the focus is purely self gain....that's about the crux of it to me I think....Though if we were to really examine all of the Squaddies and Shep, him/herself, everyone is looking for self gain to varying degree's...Reminds me of a thought I messed my head up with some months ago...'Is true, pure alturism possible?'...I do those things to myself...

Tali's the best.

Wrex and Garrus were the original bros.

Mordin was the coolest new character, Legion was alright, Samara was nice when you got to know her.

The rest I'd catergorize as varying levels of "Like", though some annoy me with their attitudes/stances at times. Still was happy to keep them all alive during the SM. Their fans on BSN, however, can be a whole different matter.

The Best
1. Tali'Zorah - Gotta love Tali. Engineering Best Friend/LI

2. Urdnot Wrex- Wrex was my personal bodyguard throughout ME1 as a poor defenseless medic that I was. One of the best ME2 scenes is when he sees Shepard for the first time.


3. Garrus - One of the best voice actors in ME. No matter what he says he sounds like it's canned awesome.

4. Legion - Had me at "Shepard Commander"

5. Ashley Williams - My other bodyguard when I didn't take Tali in ME1. Her general disposition makes a lot more sense after reading Evolution and seeing her extended family. First LI and still a great character.

6. Miranda- Hated her at first, but she grows on you after her loyalty mission.

7. Mordin- Singing G&S and a very fun sense of humor.

8. Kasumi Goto - Very fun character period. Love the 'Shep is my BFF' attitude.

9. Grunt - People like him, because he forces them to. With Violence.

10. Samara - Psychic Samurai.

The Okay set. Oddly most of my list are the biotic users.
11. Liara - Need to use her more

12. Jack- Great concept, but I so far have not found a 'lets be friends' that doesn't sound like I'm going to throw her out the ships airlock.

13. Thane - Not sure why I used him so little.

The boring set.

14. Kaiden Alenko - For Ashley to live Kaiden must die. I almost forgot he was a squadmate in ME1 during my first time playing. (Overshadowed by Wrex/Garrus)

15. Zaeed Massani- @*%Q^!*8(%&!(*&$*(&!^!^

16.Jacob Taylor- Nice guy, but boring as a log compared to majority of the cast.

excuseme, but what Jacob did YOU talk to? The guy saves the council (just like the protagonist), doesn't have  any emotionally scaring "FIX ME" issues, doesn't tolerate BS (tells the Alliance to go stuff itself when they backslide on the reapers) is a great teammate and great squad leader and is the most stable person on the Normandy. How does that deserve hate?
