Arguing with Jacob haters is a bit of a pointless exercise, you know that........  

Regarding that scene with Jacob and Tali, tbh... I didn't hear any sarcasm in Tali's voice... Nor did I hear anything other in Jacob's voice than him wanting to make things right with Tali and assist her in her job, in fact just about the only sqad mate Jacob has a issue with is Thane and he is pretty upfront about that (maybe that is where that particular poster's dislike comes from? )

Jacob is honourable and we already know from experience *cough*Kaidan*cough* that people don't like someone who will pull the player up for *ssholery............ Me... I like that..

Please refer to my post on the first page. I don't exactly like Thane very much. I even prefer Tali over him, who I didn't sympathize much with during her debriefing (except for one questionable line that I'm willing to move past).

See now......... the winky faces? They indicate my post is lighthearted, so I think you will find this was a misunderstanding and I accept your apology in advance  <<<<< Further winky faces to indicate intention  
Now.. you can climb down from the high horse you are on (Kaidan is my no. 1 and I really like your avatar since I really Thane too) or argue with yourself because I am not going to quibble over a joke. Also, the Kaidan line wasn't even aimed at you, lol.... 
I do stand by my comment that Tali is failing if she is being sarcastic there, because it just sounds a bit... surly.. if anything

Pointless? Those characters embody very real human personality, traits, and qualities that real people can easily have, which one can dislike all the same in real life in actual people.

I'll give Jacob this that unlike a few other characters (like Thane in particular!) he actually does feel like a real person. I can't really hate Thane because he doesn't feel real to me.

They do....... I agree...... However, they aren't real and hatred is a real physical aversion to something...  I'm talking about hatred, not dislike... actual hatred of which there is a fair bit. Even for the popular characters.. so yeah, I stand by my words Dislike, I get... I do... Just not hate.... but you know, that's just like, my opinion....

I know I'm late in responding but what Jacob said to Tali about EDI was not a "plain warning". It was as far from a warning as you could get. Taking his comment literally would move it even further away from warning status.

yeah it was backhanded, and rightfully so, he had every right to take her down a peg from her holier than thou horse. I love itbecause he's not letting her walk over him.

I mean, the girl risked her life to save your corpse. Some may find it creepy but I find it so heartwarming that I've been moved to tears by it more than once.

I ranked it based on my personal emotional investment in the character, not by how tight she is with Shepard canonically.

Not that I didn't factor that in.  I mean, seriously, a 4 out of 5 for a character I don't like much is pretty intense.

QFT ^ I don't think he dies any more than any other squad mate as long as he is (like all the others) levelled properly.... It's not rocket science....

I would rate Zaeed much higher if we could actually interact w/ him on the ship. And Morinth, there just isn’t that much character there, otherwise I like her.

I have just been experimenting with him in my current Insanity play through (not a fan of Insanity, just doing the achievement for this new Shep of mine)...Anyway back to the point, this Shep is happpy to use Incidery Ammo (canon Shep doesn't) and so I am taking Jacob on the majority of missions on this Insanity run, I must say I'm inpressed, Jacob holds his own nicely....that includes him going toe to toe with Krogans.
