It will go on for a 100 pages of arguing then everyone will just give up and start trolling and then the Mods will realize that they should lock this.

Im sorry I coulda sworn thats exactly what I said.

Maybe I communicated wrong, but I was certain I was saying that the Kinsey scale is accepted but most psychologists think its not fine tuned enough.
Ie bigger sample size, more in depth questions, etc.

But the overall conclusions, that sexuality is more like a scale than three clearly defined and divided sexualities is widely accepted as probable truth.

Ah, apologies! I must have misread!

On another note: I WOULD like for Vega to be exclusively gay, and not JUST because I'm terribly selfish like that! Ha, ha! I just think it would make him more tangible and interesting as a character. Kind of like Miranda is the Mary Sue archetype turned upside down. But I highly doubt Bioware would ever have the balls to do that, much less the Mass Effect team.

Nope. I think BI is okay...but being gay to "add conversation." Is just boring. Who cares? We are in space. More aliens please.

Yeh except none of the characters have actually clearly defined (except for Liara and Kelly) their sexuality. So that arguement doesnt actually make any sense.

Sigh, the "everybody is bisexual unless they say otherwise" argument again?

*sigh*

The hetero-normative assumption that EVERYONE is straight unless they come with a disclaimer label stating otherwise presumption again.
Even when it flys in the face of all evidence to the contrary (that most people are most likely a degree of bisexual)?

Wow, just wow.

EDIT:
No my point was that you really ought not to make such silly presumptions when you just dont know. You arent a writer or a dev for the game universe so you do not know.

I didnt say everyone was bisexual unless otherwise stated - that presumption would be as bad as your everyone is straight until otherwise stated presumption.
I said that WE DONT KNOW and you SHOULDNT ASSUME unless there is a definitive statement either way.

EDIT2:

Reported. Hate speech.

You lunatics think that anything that differs from your twisted world-view is "hate speech". "Hate speech" is leftist newspeak for non-conformity. I wear that label proudly.

Waste of resources for a relatively small niche to make them wholly gay, according to Bioware. It won't happen.

This implies that a gay character can only be enjoyed by gay gamers. This argument holds as much water as saying that Jacob shouldn't be in the game because only black gamers will enjoy interacting with a black character.

Not directed at you, by the way. Directed at Bioware.

I'm not gay but I think a all the way gay butch male would make more sense than the  bi-option.

I'm not sure about it making more sense, but it would definitely be more entertaining, IMO. Characters all should have layers to be enjoyable.

I think that Vega should be gay, just to anger the homophobes (see crazy guy a few posts above). I'm not romancing him either way though, so I have no personal interest in the matter.

I would like to see an exclusively-gay love interest. It wouldn't have to be Vega, but at least one homosexual love interest amongst all the heterosexual ones would be really, really nice. If nothing else, it would be awesome to have a kick-ass gay hero in fighting Reapers in space with me. (What can I say? I think the world needs more gay heroes and role models.)

I remember that David Gaider discussed the "homosexual love interests versus bisexual love interests" issue before DA2 was released. In short, he that Bioware prefers to make bisexual love-interests because it "covers all their bases" and makes the most content available to the most people, and I get that, I really do. But I also remember that after DA2 was released, David Gaider admitted how surprised he was by the number of people exploring the same-sex relationships. It's not just gay gamers who explore the gay content (see Yahtzee's article to see this discussed in length) just as it's not just straight gamers who explore the the straight content.

So, maybe Bioware is starting to figure out that it would be worth their time and money to invest in an exclusively-gay love interest, and I firmly believe that Bioware will make one... some day. Maybe not in ME3... even though I've got my fingers crossed for it.

There is no such thing as hate speech if one believes in freedom of speech, but you are obviously homophobic.

Don't worry. Once you've processed all those conflicting feelings and have embraced your true nature, you'll be welcomed back into the fold. We know you're just having a hard time dealing with all those difficult thoughts and impulses, and reconciling it all with the social pressure you're experiencing at home. We'll wait for you to come to terms.

Lunatic?

What because I wont put up with your blatant homophobia and your derogatory hate speech that is a violation of the BSN terms of service?

Using terms like "flaming ******" IS derogatory and it IS incendiary hate speech. There is absolutely no need for it. Hence I reported you.

EDIT:
And for the record you right wing nutter I am Centrist Liberal in my political learnings, for all that has to do with this arguement.
So really your assumption is as wrong and stupid as your apparent homophobia.

Most people are either straight or gay, not bisexual, that's how.

Actually, that's completely untrue. Attraction isn't gender related.

The only reason we haven't had gay romance becasue it's socially far les accepted than lesbian romance (think IRL, if you see two girls hugging it's no big deal, but for guys it's entirely different matter, is it not?).

Also, the playerbase is majorly male and a lot of those is guys are perverts who create cheap looking femShep for sole purpose of making out with Liara.

Think outside the box for a second. There are more people interested in same gender than you might imagine, but admitting it without being socialy marked in some way is nearly impossible, despite our proclaimed acceptance for everything "different".

Everyone is on a spectrum, it would be nice if a gay male character wasn't a rogue, or a softie type for once.

Doubt Vega will fall into this category

I'm pretty sure softies don't beat up innocent people with televisions.

On that note, how exactly did the term "******" end up becoming an offensive one over in the States? Never really understood that, especially while most of the the other terms seem more offensive to me.
