Well this was one of my hands down favorite bits to come out of E3 so heck yeah, I'm excited to have it cropped conveniently into a single spot.

I still hope they're gonna cut down all that crap that made ME2's Map so damn overbloated.
What made it overbloated? I was perfectly OK with it.
As you discover quests and download DLC the map becomes absolutely covered in popup balloons that can make it cluttered and sometimes hard to see what you want, especially in the northern part of the galaxy map.

Oh, that. OK, yeah, common complaint. I do see where you're coming from.

Makes sense. I'd much rather have this quality thread than other products of boredom. Plus, as Fiery mentioned some people have missed it, after all.Chewin3 wrote...

Especially HQ version since it one was hidden in long GameSpot gameplay videos. The version from the stream was rather LQ.Phaedon wrote...

We get a nice view of Garrus, Shep and Tali striding purposely forward and then, there's Legion and -- what sure looks to me like Admiral Daro'Xen vas Moreh, the Admiralty Board member and would be hacker of Geth. Between them is a 3-D graphical display of a planet, but what's the read stuff in the middle, or is that just backlighting from a panel behind Legion's point of view?
Theres some scenes where Legion's showing Shep some stuff on screens, then we see somebody who look a whole lot like fellow admiralty board member Adm. Han'Gerrel vas Neema. In the foreground is a 3-D graphical display of what appears to be Quaran ships in orbit over a planet.
I wonder what that area is and where it actually is. It looks to me as the same area as in the following picture.

(darkened the main menu console)
If it is a Quarian bridge/comm center.. will we spend allot of time in there?

I would rather assume this would be a new/rebuilt area on the Normandy. At least I hope so.PXXL wrote...

Quarian bridge/comm center makes a lot of sense. Normandy could happen, a sort of "neutral ground" for the Quarians to meet with Legion.

If I remember correctly, the key was Shaira's trinket and if you insert it in the orb, it gives you a vision of an ancient human being implanted with something by a Prothean.IsaacShep wrote...
You're not, it looks like that. And both look like the mysterious orb from one of the UNC worlds in ME1, where it was said the orb had a 'key hole' of some kind but you didn't have a key and the orb was a big mystery that looked like it was very deliberately left unresolved.Thompson family wrote...
Also, am I crazy, or doesn't that siver floating sphere look a whole lot like the Prothean artifact from the Firewaler mission?

I'm glad to have helped those of you guys who had missed the footage see it in all its glory. I figured there would be at least some who didn't know about it; it was practically hidden.
I was one of those people, and this is some pretty groovy footage. Thanks.

This is cool. By any chance, do you also have the extended footage or trailer of the Normandy escaping earth, Shep saying bye to Anderson, and that bit with the child getting on a transport?

That one never actually made it outside closed booths, as far as I know. The only version we have is the one with Shepard jumping onto the Normandy and calling out for Anderson; the extended version hasn't been made available online.HBC Dresden wrote...

Fuel and toy plane are my beefs with it. It adds nothing and slows navigation down.JeffZero wrote...

I know that back in '09 they showed some stuff which they wanted to do with the Galaxy Map, but for some reason they abondened the idea. But for some reason the fuel and the toy plane sticked.
The only thing that's good about ME2's map is that it at least shows where you've been already.

I agree that toy plane slows the navigation. I also agree that it was a good thing that ME2 map showed you where you have visited and what mission you are supposed to do in a cluster. In fact, in ME1, I started to keep a note of which clusters I had visited and which systems I had scoured completely to avoid repeating any system and this thing kind of annoyed me.Mister Mida wrote...

Oh, that's why I can't find it. Thanks for the confirmation though. Doesn't matter, there is plenty of time for footage to be released
