Complete character rebuild in campaign

for some reason Leto is not working in my save game files, but I read somewhere here that there is a way to completely alter you character AND stay in campaign.
It involved creating a similar character like the one you have with the changed level 1 feat (that you cannot change by ximply taking then giving XP), saving the chap in the vault and then starting a multi-player / on-line session and finally taking that character in
There was a post somewhere that explicitly told about this but I cannot find. the poster wanted to change everything including race.
thanx!
btw I am on Win7, v HotU 1,69

For the whole process, read 'Tip N° 32' in my list. It's not complicated, it only sounds like it is.
Worries?
1) The game might keep seeing you as a male if you switch to a female, or as a human even if you go for drow???? 'meaning I never had the problem, but...
2) Some items, eventually 'plot ones'!!! might desappear through that multiplayer process if that module itself isn't "mutliplayer labeled".
3) You can save you actual gear in a special chest in that specific 'PC builder'module and give it to your new PC.
(in case you're making a brand new one... with the same name.)
Otherwise? Have fun.

Incidentally, while the link with the solution to my former problem is pefect, I found myself not being able to complete henchman quests. Simply coz they are 'loyal' to their hiring master, even though each of them was dismissed b4 I made the changes. (maybe sth to do with having Tony K AI or OHS hench sys).
If anyone knows what is happening, pls tell me.

Is it possible that saving before restoring the game to DebogMode 0 could cause such errors? This seems to be a possible landmine in using the console commands, though I am unfamiliar with it actually happening in my experience.

Never used Leto myself but it has been mentioned that Leto can restore variables to their proper state. How this is done, I have no clue, but it sounds like when you rebuilt your toon some of the variables reset to default somehow. That would account fro the apparent "inappropriate" convo options. Also, you'd need both their artifacts and latest quest reward in inventory to get their full cooperation (I am assuming they automatically made it into your revamped toon inventory.).philty wrote...

If you do, post to the OC forum and we may be able to furnish spoiler type info you may be able to use to set things straight using the console. One problem that can occur is when a variable is stored on the module itself rather than on the character. Then when the next module in sequence loads, the load ports over the variable status from the previous module. Like i said, I don't know the limitations of manipulating game info with Leto.philty wrote...
HipMaestro, I did find some of the game quests (ch 1) to kinda 'start from 0', conversation-wise. When talikng to Ophala at the brothel I found myself asking again what problem she was having and to tell me about the art stuff (even though I already had all three items in my inventory). But aside from the hench quests, I was able to finish açç as I usually do.
I wonder if I will have hench problems in Ch 2...

btw, I did NOT use Leto on this. I used the Shia magic as described above.
EDIT: Just started chapter 2 and managed to talk to all henchies properly. I guess problem solved

Hope so. It's not a perfect solution, but sometimes good enough is all you need, no?
(Verrrrrry useful when you get killed by the big bad and can't help thinking "My canon character could've wiped the floor with you [insert name of big bad here] !"
have fun
