I just got the game and I'm really excited to play it but it won't install. When I try it gets stuck at 15.5 or .6 percent on the file packages\\core\\data\\anims.erf. If anyone has a fix for this I'm all ears.
Help Please

It was or at least should be a new disk.
It's the Ultimate Edition
The DVD drive is a Optiarc DVD RW A-751S ATA Device

Do you have a plane jane dvd player?? EA is notorious for putting in things to limit the ability to copy disks, and they create some issues with different drives. If you have a plane dvd drive use it and see if it works. By all means look at the disks and see if you see anything visually, but it is probably the copy protection and your Read write drive not liking each other. You can also try copying the files off the disk and putting them on harddrive and see if you can install from there.

Is there anyway I could use the code that came with the DVD copy to download it off Origin or something?

Yes.
I don't use origin, but there is supposed to be a cog symbol you click on then add game, enter code or some such.
Instructions I think are either in the solutions roundup thread or the beta 1.05 thread.

Ok, downloading is out of the question given that it's 27G and I have limited bandwith. I think I may just return the game and try with Dragon Age 2 instead. Unless I'm able to fix it soon.

You may see if you can copy the files to your HD and install from it. Look around if you have to with Google to see how to do it if you can't find a thread on here to give instructions.
