BioWare does not make hentai games. If you want hentai scenes, then purchase any of the readily available hentai titles which have been localized to English. Exactly which part of the fanbase does nudity cater to other than people who have failed to grow out of their horny teenager phase? I'm sorry if that seems really harsh, but nudity doesn't really add anything to a game. Nudity in a sexual context will always just be sleezy fan service.

Were they? I only did the femShep/Kaidan romance (in every single playthrough). Someday I'll go back and try out the Liara one. Someday.

That's a good point. It was cool that each romance scene in ME2 was unique, and made sense for each LI. Honestly, I would have probably puked in my mouth if there were any nekkid Garrus or Thane parts to be seen. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE both Garrus and Thane...but I love them in clothes.

What's happening during the fades is far more interesting in my head than anything they could come up with on screen anyways.

One of very few occasions where I disagree with you. I rather have 2-3 greatness type, in depth, and plot relevant romance options than having 8 "everyone is bi, one size fits all" type romances. I'm talking Revan and Bastilla/Han and Leia here. Isabela was awesome but kind of lost steam towards Act III though understandably that's where Anders becomes the center of attention.

@ OP: The actual consumation should be great or not shown at all. Fade to black is good if done right. Softcore dry humping is cheap. Balance is key. They took a step in the right direction in DA2 but It could be better. Not looking for cartoon smex to get my jollies off, but mild believability would be nice.

Yup the Shep/Ash scene was exactly the same as the Kaidan one, just Shep plays the Kaidan part. The Liara one was a smidge different since Liara plays the 'agressor.' But wasn't a fan of the Liara relationship until I got over into ME2 and played it through Shadow Broker. Completely changed my opinion of her. For the better.

I think most would agree on turian nudity, though I'm sure some would enjoy a shirtless Thane. Of course Jacob gets to be shirtless, but its offset by the horrible 'priiizzze' line he says before it.

If Bioware went the ME1 way with the variation of ME2, I think that would probably silence the "TW2 scenes were better!" comments for good. I mean yeah, you don't see actual shagging (and God when I first saw that on the internet I actually felt pretty awkward at first after playing so many Bioware games where they're so tame about it) but at least ... well ... it looked like something was ... happening? 

But yeah, a bit of ME1ness wouldn't hurt, because while I love Origins, after about the second time I just refuse to watch the sex scenes because they're really awkward and pretty embarrassing even though I play the game in the seclusion of my room where nobody else can even see what's happening

That's quite a jump you made there from topless character to hentai your post is predictably reactionary. No one is advocating what you described.

That's quite a jump you made there from topless character to hentai your post is predictably reactionary no one's advocating what you described.

Forgive the double post some of you wouldn't mind seeing topless male characters i wouldn't mind seeing topless female characters in certain situations. I would like to see more character interaction in general as well.

I dont care about nudity as mush as I care about the quality of the cut scenes. I mean yea its nice to see them lose some clothes but they dont have to lose ALL of them. What I care more about is that the scenes are given more time. I liked the style of DA2's romance scenes but they were not done well. Some parts of the characters body seemed to sink disappear or Merrills hand was stuck through my champion by laying their. The little things kinda annoy me in those parts. Anyway Bioware should definitly build on DA2's romance scenes cause they were a step in the right direction.

I was disappointed in the love scene with my female Hawke and Anders. I admit  the kissing scenes were fine, and the after sex (if that was what it was) scene was ok, but the scene on the bed was embarrassing and awkward. It would have been more realistic if Anders had at least taken off his coat and pauldron, and if they both had taken off their boots! Instead he sort of leapt on her, fully clothed, and then fade to black.

As brief as it was, I think the Origins/ Alister love scene was done better. At least you could see their faces, not just Alister's fully clothed backside.

I would have to say I would like it to be similar to ME1. I liked how DA2 and ME2 actually had a scene beforehand, that was unique for each character. But some of them kind sucked. Like the awkward nuzzle with Garrus. I when I went on youtube later and checked out what the Miranda and Jacob romance scenes were, I felt cheated with Garrus.

But to me, the ME1 scenes were tasteful, but felt sexy. Whereas the da2 and me2 ones that I've experienced (fenris, anders, and garrus) all felt too PG. Or I just didn't like them at all (isabella). I think, if after Anders or Fenris's scenes, they had been shirtless or something, that would have been better.

So, to sum up -
1) each love interest's love scene should be equally sexy.
2) have the lead-up and post scenes be personalized for each character for the conversation bits, a la DA2
3) either lose some clothes (like Miranda and Jacob's scenes in ME2) or cut to tasteful sex scenes like ME1.

I think that all party member characters should be romanceable, bisexual and use a more updated romance system of DA:O

I think the love scenes, and love scenes in general in deeply involved stories, are better with suggestion and cut away to something else.

I always think jerky bumpy CG animated nakedness is silly, like a close-up of someone's cellulite when you could have used suggestion and subtlety to such greater effect.

I think scenes of CG nudity achieve exactly nothing when they're done well, and detract from the game when they're not (which they so rarely can be).

And here I thought this thread was going to be about romance options, where fans could describe the LIs they wanted.

(shrugs) If we're still talking about gratuitous nudity, I didn't mind the DA2 cutscene fade-to-black. DA:O style with mods was fine, but without mods, it was just silly.

I did both the Morrigan and Leliana romances in Origins. In DA:2, on my first playthrough I didn't find either Merril or Isabella that interesting, and on my second playthrough where I tried the Merril romance, her Questioning beliefs bugged out on me meaning the romance could never be completed. So a mixture of characters I personally found bland and poor technical ability is what killed the DA:2 romances for me, not the presence or absence of nudity. Sex scenes in video games are almost always bad, and always cringeworthy. Especially when your mate walks into your room in the middle of one and is like "dude, wtf even is that?".

The way some in North America talk about nudity and sex you would think no-one ever has it.
