Is this serious topic? Relatively? xD I have a few ideas...

Quanari female/male: Renegade priest, or maybe enslaved mage, which hate own kind? And if you are man or woman, youll give freedom to him/her.

Cute dwarven girl. Something like Dagna.

Elven something. Maybe Ariane from Witch Hunt? Or return of Velanna? Dalish are popular, after all, they are important piece of DA lore. Or my favourite elven badass ATHENRIL.

Second elven character, completely different from the first. Why not.

Are you suprised?

- NO HUMAN ROMANCES, WHEN MY HERO MUST BE A HUMAN! (sorry for my anger)

Considering that the only epilogue where Velanna dies (As opposed to disappearing or remaining a Warden) has her body mysteriously missing after a section of wall falls on her, they wouldn't even have to hand wave her return like Anders.

Still, they just had a female dalish mage and an Awakening mage character romance in DA2, so I rather doubt it.

I'd like less awkward romance scenes, I don't need more skin... maybe just make it look more natural. I like the romance aspect of the games, and I don't really have much to complain about. I think it went a step up from DA:O in terms of being less awkward. At least they faded out the scene before they did anything, instead of made the entire thing an awkward staring/groping fest. I'd like a mixture of DA:O and DA: 2 in that they have the less awkward "sex" scenes, but also keep all the extra dialogue you had in Origins... I felt like I never really got to talk to my companions in 2 except for the "visit on blahblah" side quests. I mean, at least for a romance option you should have the option to talk more than a couple times a chapter.

As far as wanting a "normal person" for a romance option... I actually think that would be boring... at least as far as a fantasy RPG game goes. :/ I like the drama that comes along with romancing characters, it adds to the story. But it would be nice to have some more variety for people who don't want that... in 2 you didn't really get the option to be with anyone normal. Not that anyone in that game was really stable at all...

They've never had a romanceable dwarf yet, so that's something to consider. Other than that... I'd like to see some new characters as well as some reintroduced ones.

We don't need more nudity (though I'm completely fine with tasteful nudity. Hell, I'm completely fine with full frontal nudity as long as it's tasteful and not just for fanservice.) we just need better LI's.

That's not true at all, there can be tasteful nudity in a sexual context. Mass Effect had nudity in a sexual context that was very tasteful.

Heavy Rain's sex scene was tasteful as well. Though Madison in the shower and stripping for Sleezy McAnimal Print Shirt was all about the animated bewbage.

I fully support eyecandy of both sexes. I mean, a guy wearing armor all day have to have a nice body.. *trails off*...*drools*... *snaps back* and, ehrm, although I don't like the body shape of most female athletes, the girls who do martial arts here on campus usually have very nice bodies.... *repeat*... So, I'm in full support of eyecandy Image IPB

As for nudity though (I don't bunch eyecandy together with nudity), I think ME1 was very tasteful and I like it a lot, while I also liked the personalized style in ME2. Pillow talk from DA2.... Some were good, some just made me shudder. DA:O... I skipped 'em, to awkward. More conversation though, DA2 was a disaster, I had no clue of what my LI was as a person!

I'm sure I had something else I wanted to write too, but it must've slipped my mind... Oh well Image IPB

Rather than focusing on nudity (which really opens up a whole can of worms we don't really need), I'd rather them focus on making the romance feel like a romance. There's not enough flirting or minor kissing or anything like that; you can't even tell someone is a love interest except when you talk to them alone at very specific points in the game. And this spans across all Bioware titles.

And in addition to that, there's nearly no social reaction to your choice of LI, save a few minor ones like Wynn noticing your spark for Leliana and warning you, or your mother telling you Isabela kinda sorta is a major ****. There is so much left on the table considering LI's in the greater community: If Hawke is such a celebrity, why is nobody questioning his/her choice in LI (since everyone available is kind of political suicide)? Why doesn't Bioware touch on the topic of sexuality more, rather than make it so everyone's totally cool with whatever? Why does the idea of lineage never come up? If Hawke is the only child left, and decides to be gay, why isn't someone bringing up the fact that if Hawke dies in an ambush, no one's left for the estate and title?

These are all much more beneficial aspects LI's could bring, but they currently don't. Instead, everything points toward a single, poorly animated love scene that's awkward to watch for anybody. Hardly feels satisfying at most points of the game.

  • Cassandra (Strong independent woman who barks orders with that accent? Consider it done.)
  • Charade (Would be interesting to see a companion who's directly related to the previous protagonist and can offer insight on her cousin's actions)
  • Cullen (The whole "I'm a templar but I have problems with both sides" is a very interesting character-in-waiting which could be greatly explored in DA3, romance or no.)
  • Varric (He's Varric. Need I say more? :D (Mary, please don't hurt me))

Half of them for the characters themselves, half of them for the potential plot! :P

In way of girls, I'd be happy with Tallis, Cassandra, perhaps a Tal-Vashoth or Qunari woman, or another Dalish. Though in this particular installment, I'd prefer said Dalish is a little sterner in nature than Merrill was, and more set in their clan's ways. Like Velanna. Velanna would be oodles of fun, and quite the challenge to woo.

For men, I'd cast a vote for Cullen since I love rolling mages, a chevalier, a Chasind (perhaps a former slave or manservant), or a city-elf who isn't an assassin for once. An elf who's a smidge normal this time around, like a longshoreman who has a natural but crude talent with the sword.

I can write even my personaliest list for character, if i was Bioware CEO :D

- Warden-Commander Oghren (person with BIG weapon)
- Smuggler Athenril (First rogue)
- Free Saarebas (totally new character must be there too)
- Orlesian/Nevarran warrior (same reasons like Saarebas)
- dwarven theoretical mage Dagna (she is good with lyrium, so she can do BOOMS instead of Sandal xD)
- Knight-Commander Cullen (fangirls must be pleased, necessary evil xD)
- dalish knight Ariane
- Charade Amell (Second rogue, and some connection with a Hawke)

+ DLC character - Tevinter magister, specialist in blood magic, what operate under Archons command secretly

And Athenril, Free Saarebas, Dagna and Cullen will be romanceable...

I do like the Charade idea, Dave. Creating a connection with the previous protagonist like that could be fun. Granted, I'm sure a number of players will complain about never meeting this "Charade" character in DA2 if she appeared (Not that I can blame them, i completely missed that quest the first time around)

I like the Cassandra idea and Cullen, to switch genders. I'd also like to add Sten (I want him to become a DA3 character as a Tal Vashoth (Do to some traumatic event you must uncover in his personal quest) of course it should take a fair bit of questioning to get him to reveal he traveled with the Warden, and he would be using a different name.

A Tervinter Mage might work.

They need to hire the people that makes the mods for romance scenes in Da1 and implement those in all the games. The Zev and Alistar improved Romance scenes are awesome...

Nudity is great if not for the mod peeps I would be a sad panda...and yes to Cullen...got to romance him in Da1 thanks to the mod peeps and Ser Gilmore (now that is not one whiny guy)..and yes please to Nathanial ...and you can make your guys topless in Da2 thank god, so at least if they are whining I can stare at them with no shirts and ignore all else...drool now to get them to shut up...looks for a whip...

Ugh, no nudity, please. Makes me think of the DA:O love scenes ... CHEESY!!!!!!! I mean, what with that music playing, and the two characters rolling around in slow motion... I LOL'd every time!

Just add more scenes in general. More fireside chats and whatnot. More hugs and kisses. Sly, funny, and/or cute dialogue, depending on personality.

I don't care about nudity as long as there are more possibilities to talk to the characters...it was so weird in Dragon Age 2. The group members talked to each other more often than they did to hawke...There was only one dialogue option for each group member in act 1 (except Merril..she had two lol) ...Dragon Age:Origins had good and long conversation possibilities. But in DA2 nearly all conversations end in a quest.

I agree completely !  I would love to see more options for dialogue between Hawke and companions, I don't really care about more skin in the romance scenes.  I have never really liked the fact that you have a few conversations with a companion and its right to the bedroom and you know very little about the individual, I would prefer to build a relationship with them over time with more options for dialogue (like DA:O).
