Well we already know she'll be back. I wonder if she'll punch first this time. Or properly slap Shep with the lawsuit she has video evidence of.

Changing the gag would be good. Maybe a squadmate, or you see her interviewing someone else and that person Falcon punches her.

Can we shoot her this time? If not fatally, then at least let us kneecap her.

She'll be indoctrinated and trying to punch her will result in her grabbing your wrist, mutating into a Reaper Avatar and grabbing you by the throat and throwing you across the room.

You know what'll fall flat on their faces?

Silly OP's when my regime of terror and blood comes into power around the globe.

Maybe she will be covering the trial and Shepard has the option of saving her or not?

Agreed, if she got punched in the first two games then she learned some sort of self defense and suprises Shepard.  But only if she got punched both times.

Commander, I've been pushing for this for months now. I think it shows a level of maturity and understanding on your part that you feel the same way. If I had a say in it, you'd get a damn medal for this post but Bioware's scribes may feel otherwise. When Ms. Al-Jilani inevitably shows up in Mass Effect 3, I expect you to dress in your navy blues and provide the hit if she won't let you take it.

Fifth Fleet Out.

My femSheps are too dignified to punch her in her face. ;)

Actually, they don't even talk to her in ME2. Ever. It's like she's not even there.

No, BioWare and Mass Effect will fall flat on their face if they don't live up to the promise of our choices having real consequences this time. Aside from that, pretty much everything goes.

Imagine a scene:

The reporter is trying to record the news in the middle of combat. Blasts and shooting everywhere:

Reporter: ''We are in the middle of the reaper invasion!''

Shepard runs by punching her in the face, and runs of to continue his business. =D

He doesn't have time to justify himself to his viewers.

They have yet to deliver a game that does.

Agreed. I prefer to make her look bad by using the intelligent responses that leave her miffed.

Yeah but Kaiser, GodWood, it's so hard to. At least for a trilogy (I know you're already thinking of AP, Kaiser). I mean, 1,000 variables? There's absolutely no way they can do that justice. Impossible.

*sigh*  ME 2 was not supposed to have all the consequences to our choices it would have created way too many variables for ME 3.  Instead  Me 2 ackhowledged our choices and gaves us some new ones.  ME 3 will acknowledge choices and deliver consequences since it is the climax and it doesn't have to account for an ME 4.

Makes three of us. I've admittedly laughed at the reporter-punching (something of a rarity for me; I'm not much for low-brow humor but Bioware's writing somehow manages to sell it) but I almost always take the high route. It's absolutely more satisfying for me.
