I think it was too soon for any of them to say those words in ME1 and ME2...but ME3 would be an adequate time to say that...near the end, though...and only if the relationship is more than just "talk to me three times and we go snu-snu before final battle"

Anyway, it would be nice, but to me it's not necessary. Actions speak volumes. I know who loves me.

Well, considering *some* of them have been with Shep for both ME1 and ME2... Though it's not like the dextros are exactly smoothtalkers. By the time ME3 comes around, everyone will have enough reason to say those three magic words, though, if the right actions are taken.

Thane says it in a letter, Jacob says it out right, Kaidan ends up saying it in past tense on Horizon. the rest imply a great deal of care in some way.

hmm -its kinda interesting that the only ones that actually say the words in some fashion are femshep LI's O_O  eidted, wait never mind that forgot about the whole Kashley Wilenko deal on Horizon :/

Jacob only says it if you try to reject him on his romance scene. Goes like "But I love you!". Thane says it in his LOTSB letter as well. But that's about it.

Yes, they do, in ME2. Too bad they did it just before "breaking up". Yeah, the next mail will reset the "break up", so you can assume them still as your active LI ... but yes, it does kinda taint the "I love you" of Ash/Kaidan a bit.
