Is this another Kaidan romance thread?

I'm not talking about "feminine" or "masculine," I'm talking about body structure. I have yet to see a woman walk totally like a man who wasn't deliberately doing it. Again, no one is talking about swaying hips or such nonsense. But it's different. Women have a shorter, wider pelvis. All women do. Hence, all women have a slightly different walk than men.

EternalAmbiguity is right.  Masculinity and femininity aside, women and men do tend walk differently, and these differences are due to biomechanical differences which cannot be put aside.

The pelvis is just one of many differences.  Women have a longer leg to torso ratio than men, shorter arms and narrower shoulders.  Women are actually more susceptible to knee injuries than men due to these biomechanical differences..

Even women that have a more masculine walk, you can still see the differences if you know what to look for..

On a side note, I had no idea Hathur was female!   I thought Hathur was another computer oriented dude like myself Image IPB

Bull lol.

We live in a masculine dominated society, so you're preaching in a fish bowl, my friend.

But the highly respected, stronge, talented and skilled woman is in the game, is she not? Is that not what has gained her popularity amongst female and male fans alike?

Perhaps society as a whole doesn't reflect it, but the game has it.

Female Shepard embodies the strength of a masculine character, which is typically associated with male figures.

I rather dislike the norm that masculinity = strength. If anything breaking the norm would be showing a feminine character who can be strong and masculine...not simply having a woman who embodies masculinity.

Lol! but yeah that's pretty much it.

They both do. MShep and FShep. It's just that it becomes even more pronounced when you're playing FShep. But they both shared the same clunkiness.

Ugh. and when my FemShep started to dance! I was like wth happened? Damn you Cerberus Dogs!

But really they both could stand a bit more...uh, Grace to their movements.

Has anyone tweeted abt this? Someone must have. Does anyone know what they said about it? (if indeed someone asked)

I actually want Femshepard's body to look more muscular. When she is wearing the Kasumi dress she does look pretty fit. However I want here to be a bit more cut she doesn't have to be all bulked up like Maleshep but just very cut and muscular. Just so that she looks more believable. That she actually looks like she is physically capable of throwing Kai Leng on his ass when she squares off against him in hand to hand or any other of Cereberus's goon squad.

With a title like this people are arguing about gender inequality or whatever? FemShep is just lacking some class it seems.

I understand the OP's opinion, but I don't want this to go too far. FemShep; not FemmeShep. As Jack so eloquently put it, "I'm a dangerous b----." She should still look like it. Jennifer Hale's voice is perfect and one of the best voice actors of the franchise. I would hate to see this paired with FemHawke movement :(

I hope in ME3 they're a bit more consistent with FemShep's cup size, they grow an awful lot the moment she dons the N7 armour.

Yes, it's been tweeted and Shepard will get new animations in ME3, but I expect they will both ahare the same rig again.

We've always used a combination of gender-specific anims and shared ones. We have more specific anims to choose from in ME3

Agreed.  FemShep is beautiful enough without oversexualizing her armor.  Her boobs need not be big enough to absorb a bullet and save her life without armor.

Geez, people.

I swear to God that Femshep is going to have freaking mosquito bites by the time ME3 comes around. Femsheps armour isn't exactly 'sexualized' to any degree worth complaining about. Go whine at Samara's ridiculous cleavage or maybe Mirandas ass.

Often times, women have ******. Science. Whether they are realisticly sized or inflated with 800PSI of helium is up to the developer.

Bioware's got it all wrong.

It is firstly a mistake to assume any of the less significant gender distinguishing characteristics at all. For example giving only one gender breasts isn't really a fair assumption as men are also capable of producing oestrogen in comparable quantities. I think we should at least have the option to toggle them on or off our Shepards. After all I thought Bioware was supposed to be progressive?

Conversely however in some of the major areas they haven't gone far enough.

I think the toe flexor muscle lengths are in severe disproportion between genders in-game. Studies show men develop 39.1% greater toe strength than women. This wasn't acknowledged in their forward reach or lean capacity, and so I couldn't help but notice that men never seemed to reach their maximum volitional moment which is developed in the sagittal plane by the flexor muscles about a reference axis through the first metatarsophalangeal joint. Bioware was kidding themselves if they thought they could slip that one past us.

Also femshep shouldn't be intimidating krogans or getting in scuffles with people twice her size. That just doesn't look right.

Also apparently some lady was stabbed and her fake boobs saved her. Any decrease in strength from being a woman can be offset by the advantage of having more weapon resistant in some areas.

I didn't find it sexualised, it's just I'd prefer that they keep her body consistent (whether that means making her N7 ****** the "actual" size or if the way she looks in casual is the "actual" appearance).
