It seems that i don't have an experience cap set in my BGT game and i'm not sure why. Here is the list of mods i have installed:
- BGT
- Oversight (Just the Tougher Sendai patch) (v12)
- bg1npc
- bg1ub
- bg2ub
- scs
- scs II
- BGTTweak
- BG2_Tweaks
- eSeries
- DEFJAM (didn't use any feature of it though)
I had to manually go to Shadow Keeper and reduce the XP for all my npc's to 161.000 before starting BG2, really annoying. Does anyone know a way to fix it?
How to enable experience cap in BG Trilogy?

which you can find in the override folder.
BGT doesn't have a TOTSC xp-cap by default, so I've heard. The only xp-cap is the BG2(TOB) xp-cap. If you edit xpcap.2da, make a backup copy first to place back after you've finished BG1, to get the BG2 xp cap back.

Yeah i looked into that file, and the only number it has is 2950000, the xp cap for BG2. So i guess i'll just have to manually reduce my XP cap for BG1 with Shadow Keeper. At least it should work in BG2.

If you have it enabled the console is quicker than Shadowkeeper. Better yet, try this mod (I haven't tried it but sounds like it does exactly what you want).

ncknck. Doing what you suggest modifies both the BG and SOA aspects of BGT so is more intrusive than Shadowkeeper or the console.

Im not really sure why is this a problem at all, exp in bg1 is pretty meaningless compared to what can be gained in bg2. That mod modifies the main game script so on a level of game intrusion on a scale 1 to 10, its about 20. Game will lag more, but it is certainly the most transparent solution.

I've been using the mod referred to by Gate70 for a fair while. Seems to work fine - no problems with bugs although I have quite a few other mods active. The only slight issue is that it doesn't seem to cope with dualling - the 161,000 limit is applied to the dualled character irrespective of the XP earnt by the earlier character. Depending on when you dual this may mean that you have to turn down an offered level up towards the end of the game.
