So... I tried to follow my own tutorial to make a .mor from a savegame (to replace Carver's face.)

I looked at my savegame in pygff to figure exactly which Carver morph I needed to be changing, and it said it used hm_carver_h1s1 so that's what I saved the .mor as. I packaged it as an .erf, put it in my override directory, and loaded it up. But Carver's face wasn't replaced.

Could it be a conflict with one of my chargen mods? I seem to recall something about one of them, I don't recall which one, replacing the Hawke family with the iconic Hawke family presets. Is there another way to replace a companion face with a morph from a savegame? Maybe by just using savegame editing and not making it an override at all?

Hi Elysium, have you tried the basic hm_carver.mor yet?

If that doesn't work, what I would probably do is (unfortunately) just duplicate the morph and go down the list of Carver's file extensions. On the upside, you don't need to pack the .mor as an .erf, so that'll save you a step...

Thank you!

I actually found an easier way, since modding Carver is apparently complex due to the Carver morph's reliance on the player preset.

Since I was actually adding the companion using the Additional Companion mod (and didn't want Carver's face at all, just a human male warrior) I went with the Cullen option, instead of Carver, and the process worked. So, yeah, I think it was just Carver, not the process.
