I bought DA:O on Steam on my PC, but I have since acquired a Mac. I would like to be able to play it without buying another copy of the game. Any ideas?
Bought on PC (Steam), now own a Mac. Anything I can do?

I've personally never used a Mac but I believe that there are program which allows you to run other programs as if you were using a pc. Try googling for one.

You should install Windows on your Mac via Boot Camp, if you still have your Windows install discs from the old PC around.
Note that Mac OS X Lion only supports Windows 7, while Mac OS X Leopard and Snow Leopard support Windows XP, Vista and 7.
If you really, really want to play Dragon Age on Mac OS X, you will have to re-buy the Mac version of the game I fear. You can thank Bioware / Electronic Arts / Valve for not supporting all OS versions in one purchase, it's a mess really.

The issue is that Steam does not support the Mac client. Bioware supports cross-platform purchasing, but since I bought it through Steam, I can't get access to my CD key.
I've used Boot Camp for several years with XP, but the windows partition of my hard drive has been corrupted, and all of my system installation discs were lost in a move.

Does Origin support Mac, and cross platform?? I don't use Mac, BUT I know you can use a Steam key to dl and run a copy of DAO on Origin, from EA.

If you want the best results, you'll need to get another copy of Windows. You should then be able to download and reinstall with Steam.
You could probably run your copy through WINE or Crossover (or steal another game's Cider wrapper) on Mac OS X (assuming you have access to the installation), but I doubt you'll get any help with that here.
Your only other recourse is to purchase the game again. (The "official" Mac version is just Cider, though, so it's exactly the PC version you already own, just with a WINE wrapper; I wouldn't pay for it, but it's up to you.)
