A lot of the "bad" things people say they don't want to see should IMO be story elements that would be possible to occur given certain choices/mission outcomes.

Do I want to see them unavoidable? No.

...but without the possibility of failure, success is meaningless.

I second these. Especailly the Garrus parts. Shepard only has one space bro and that is Garrus F*cking Vakarian

1) I don't want death for death's sake. If there is a scripted death, I would prefer that the death be poignant and important to the plot and character.

2) I don't want cameo's for ME2 shipmates and ME1 important characters being too small.

3) I don't want an inability to provide mea culpa in the case of the Galactic Council

4) I don't want Udina suddenly pulling it together for the right reasons, I want him to continue to be a politician, someone short-sighted who thinks of only political ****storms and power plays.

5) I don't want TIM to be 2 dimentional. I want TIMs betrayal to be complex and important. Indoctrination will feel like a cop out. Was Always evil will be worse.

6) I don't want Liara to forget her role as Shadowbroker. She's with me, she can't do that work on my ship, I want to know what it is she's done with the position while she's away and it better make sense!

7) I don't want Batarians suddenly coming to their senses in the name of cooperation. I want the Hegemony to continue to act in its own selfish interests, even if we find a batarian malcontent that sees things for what they are, not what has been propagandized.

8) I don't want to see Garrus conflicted anymore. He doesn't know what to do with grey, but he needs to know what to do with himself. Now.

9) I don't want love interests at any level to go unnoticed. I want people who want shep to come forward and challenge Sheps current choice . . . just don't go the Ander's route. There are ways of handling that without coming on too strong. I'm strong in my identity, I have no grudge against come ons from the same sex. I simply let them know I'm not interested. I should have that option in game as well.

10) I don't want Shep to be the Mannequin Skywalker of the Mass Effect Universe. I love that Liara and Dr. Chakwas both ask Shep how he/she is doing. That was important, keep it up. Shep can, and should, show some emotions. These have gone from being people under his command to comrades in arms, show that the symbolic link between commander and crew flows both ways.

With the LI, I wan't it clear what will happen instead of it saying something cool, and then you give up you favorite character for only a few million humans.

Plus I don't wan't some back-door way thats unseen to the player that will make you cheat on your LI. (It would suck)

My Shepard to allow a Batarian to join my squad. If there is a Batarian squad mate, I want the option to shoot him in the face and remove his eyes at the end of his/her recruitment mission.
To make it to the end of the game without the chance to put a few bullets in Udina
Have Grunt not be a permanent Squad member. Shep is his battlemaster. Shep has no equal.
Not have the chance to call Hackett, Anderson, the Alliance, the Council and the VS on their BS.

Another thing: Jack being bi. I mean, I won't actually have a problem with it as such, just think it'll be refreshing to see that the one who'd be most sterotypical for that category and the "obvious" candidate doesn't become what everyone expects.

I've always liked that Jack is strong/independent in herself and I feel like if they "retcon" (for lack of a better word) her expressingly not being interested in women past friendship, it'll kinda go against that trait which makes her cool.

I don't mind if any of the Female characters that could do so (Femshep, Liara, Ashley (IF VS), Jack, Miranda (after fixing problem with Mordin and Lazarus tech)) actually get pregnant during the game (Heck, Female Shepard with Kadian as LI could have been pregnant at the begining of ME 2), but PLEASE make it so that you don't have to sacrifice them after you learn about that fact....

I don't want:
Legion losing Shepards' old armor
Grunt not usable as permanent Squadmate without option for some other Krogan
Shepard MUST sacrifice to end war (paragon)
Shepard not having the option of having Long hair permanently (if you look closely, Ash just unbound her hair)
EDIT:  Vega tries to become LI if a female Shepard is used, LI or no.
