Bioware, seriously. Legion should have fixed the hole in that platform by now. The 1183 processes that make up Legion should have agreed that the integrity of the platform should be restored before irrevocable damage occurs to the internal structure.

Legion is only romancable after you get the flesh-like accessories. 
Seriously... It needs to be patched up. It actually adds surface area as is, and exposes a vulnerable interior. Definitely added character to him, though.

And Snowheart makes a very good point. There should be a fleshy substance added around the inside of the hole, making it smaller, and to, ah, pad it to reduce shock and such. From attacks.

Legion is a daisy. It kind of flowers up before saying the 'there was a hole' line. There should be a mod to keep him flowered open all the time.
I hope they explain the N7 shoulder pad in ME3. It's a bit inconsistent to cover up a tiny hole with a shoulder piece but to leave a huge hole on your belly uncovered. Legion was lying.

Legion's body was a mobile computer platform and they were not an individual but were instead a collection of thousands of Geth programs. It is possible that they may have returned to that Dyson sphere they are building and that a new collection of Geth may be in ME3 if not the Geth as a whole.
