I've posted a 6th edition of the NWN2 Toolset Notes to the Vault. (See the link in my .sig)
This release has been split into four "smaller" volumes so they will load/open faster; the work is 363 pages total. It includes additions for intelligent weapons, lights, the overland map, and trees. There's an appendix of item properties and creature special abilities. I've also built a function index for faster lookup, although this only covers up through MotB. The item lists have been re-organized to group by level ranges (to make it easier to find appropriate items). The text has undergone extensive editing. Finally, there are more example scripts.
I hope this version meets with your approval and that you find it useful when using the toolset.
Thank you.

Thanks! Have you by any chance been collecting tips and tricks that people have posted on the forums? Or is it based largely on your own experiences and discoveries?

Yes, there is a mix of tips and tricks from the forums and what I discovered on my own. I don't really distinguish between the two, but I do credit the forums in the intro. Thanks.

Great! It is good to see that some of the combined community knowledge is making it out of the forums in a coherent form.

Yay!! OM info is soreley needed! I'm glad to see you are still adding to this. It's by far the best toolset manual around.

Stupid forums...
After looking at the OM information, I find that you're missing a bunch of information about scripts required, how to setup an encounter area, triggers needed, all 2DAs needed as well as the UI elements. The section is a nice start, but there is A LOT more information needed for anyone wanting to make an OM.
Hopefully you can add to this.

At the Citadel you can find info about the OM. Sunjammer made a tutorial and I made a supplement that covers much of what you need to know.

Not claiming to be the best at anything; just hoping it's useful. :innocent:

Super useful as always. And the script appendix is great.

Im new with the toolset, i used the toolset of NWN on occasion but i find the new one hard to understand. For example, i hava major difficulties to create items that will follow with a character after i export the character to play with in other campaigns. I have done the following when i create new blueprint:
In the head menu, i selected VIEW, then OPTIONS and in the GENERAL section I changed that items can be saved in GLOBAL
I create a new area using File, NEW, AREA
Next i head to the ITEMS menu in the Blueprints section. I rightclick in an empty space and choose create new blueprint and select the global option. After that i create the item, but when i play my module and export the character, all gear is lost when i wish to play mask of the betrayer with the same character =/
PS. Sorry if i write in the wrong thread, i made a search and only got 2 threads on NWN2 toolset. DS.
