One of the things I really love about DA2 is some of the often overlooked details in the environment - Such as looking down at the gallows from Hightown, only noticed it on one of my recent playthroughs - Or the massive amounts of smoke coming from the foundries in lowtown and looking at them from the Gallows at the start of the game. Or one probably not so overlooked, Seeing the Towering Sundermont from Lowtown reaching above the highest parts of Hightown.
Or the massive fall to the narrow sea between Kirkwall from Darktown.

Was wondering if anyone else liked this and if theres any little details like this that are often overlooked that are a nice touch that you could point out? =D

I like the view of the Gallows from the docks. Go there at night; it's especially pretty.

I really liked the view of the magma flow in the Deep Roads and how the magma occasionally shoots up in great shooting geysers. That's a nice touch for what is essentially a background detail.

I also like how the NPCs will sometimes take notice of the people in your party. The docks are really good for this; there are several people who will take notice of Isabela and Aveline.

Sometimes I'll be running through an area, and then it appears that Aveline is having a conversation with herself, but it was another guardsman off in the distance.

The deep roads, as a whole, were well done in DA2. Too bad you aren't there long, especially compared to in Origins. They should do tours of the deep roads in Kirkwall.

I'll have to be more observant of the different levels of Kirkwall next time. Considering that I usually spend 80+ hours per playthrough, I should have noticed these details.

Yeah, that happened to me once. Isabela suddenly blurted out something to the effect of "I'm sorry, I don't speak 'never-gets-sex-again." It didn't occur to me until later that she was responding to an NPC wandering around the Dock who comments on Isabela's appearance.

She can also encounter a man whose ship she once boarded. And no, that's not a euphemism.
