Wouldn't it be an awesome twist if The Reapers gave you an option to work for them..?

Was Saren wrong? Sure he was a psycho and mercilessly killed innocents - which is wrong - but technically so did Shepard in Arrival. We were never given a chance to do anything else.

Saren went about it the wrong way, he decided to lie and decieve everyone, but he didn't have all the facts.

What if, just what if, in ME3, you encounter the leader of the Reapers who actually presents you with evidence, irrifutable evidence that if the Reapers don't continue their cycle of extinction, the entire galaxy will collapse and cease to exist due to over-use of a combination of Dark Matter and Element Zero?

What if the Reapers can prove that in, say, 200 years, 80% of the galaxy's suns will be at a state similar to Haestroms and life will never again be able to flourish?

What if the Reapers offer you the chance to be their vanguard; to use your connections to each race to convince them to submit to their own annihilation or doom the galaxy to destruction in a few hundred years?

Man, now THAT would be an awesome turn of events.

It would be godamn stupid and honestly i can't imagine Shepard ever trusting anything the reapers might say or offer.. Shep might be a brink but even he ain't that stupid.

I think that would actually be a fairly decent "you screwed up everything" kind of ending. Shepard's entire crew and most of the council and alliance fleets are destroyed, and he accepts being repurposed into Collector's or something instead of just dying. He's lost hope, pulls a Saphra, and finally concedes he can't win.

You will be able to cook and eat the reapers, since they are semi-organic.

There probably will be a decision like that for a fail game, but I don't see it as one of the main endings that could appear.

The only way I'd accept Shep working for the reapers is if he gets indoctrinated. Which should be an option imo.

The only way I can see that happening would be if Shepard is indoctrinated, so no.

Well if this would happen I would slash my wrist and post video of my death to BioWare.
But on the other hand it would be very suprising if things would go that way.

um, people are always advocating plenty of stupid **** for shepard to do, shepard isn't intelligent, hes only as smart as the player thats playing him. so saying that no shepard wouldnt be stupid enough to do this so it wont be in the game is faulty logic.

Well, if the Reapers approach me with that idea, I'll tell them to cram it up their buttpuckers. I'd rather die free than live as a slave forever.

Yes if someone fails in ME3 to save the galaxy then you should either have the choice to join them (and become some sort of reaper) or die a hero.

I would blow their laser eye thing off with my heavy pistol, but if there would be no other option I would still shoot their **** ass.

Well, if you hold out long enough in arrival you are hit by an energy wave by object rho so it might be possible.

Harbinger: "We're willing to wipe the slate clean, give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation."
Shepard: "Yeah. Well that sounds like a really good deal. But I think I have a better one. How about I give you the finger... and you let me radio my ship?"
Harbinger: "Cmdr Shepard, you disappoint me."

It would be an epic fail of writing.

With that said, I'd probably go along with their plan just long enough to cram a nuke in harbinger's ass. I'd take just enough time to make sure he knew that he just go trolled before I pushed the big red button.

I quite like the idea of this. Not as an end all thing, but as a "You fail hard" ending. It sure would surprise the hell out of most people.
