Hey guys, sorry for not checking in sooner but we've been swamped this week.

For those of you who haven't had The Deep Green activate yet there are a couple things you need to know.

First off your Dragon Age 2 profile has to be activated on the Social website. This means you need to go to your profile here on Social (click on your avatar in the top left). From there select the games tab and find the "(Activate Online Profiles)" link.

I've seen a few people say their characters aren't updating but when I go to your profile I see the achievements so be sure to give it some time after activating before posting here.

If you've already done this before or are doing it for the first time we don't instantly sync your data to Social. The game sends updates to an external server every so often while you are playing. Social is then reading this data to display your character online. This means we won't always have the very latest data from your game.

If you've installed cheats or other hacks we can't guarantee anything will work properly. If you've done that and it isn't working you should probably re-install the game.

Here is a link to my achievements page for my PC character:
http://social.biowar...ay=achievements
Your version of that page is what you should be looking at to see if you have the proper achievements.

So when posting your report of not receiving The Deep Green please let me know if:
a) your DA2 profile shows you have a MotA achievement (post a link to it)
or
B) your DA2 profile is not activating
I suppose there might be a C but I can't think of it right now. :)

Anyway, I'll be back on Monday to check in again.

Hi Horus, your profile is working but it looks like the game hasn't sent an update with your new achievements. If possible one thing you could try is leave the game running overnight. I'm going to try getting some more details on what triggers the game to send an update.

Nimpe, I've noticed a few profiles like yours where it reports you have a profile on Social but doesn't have any details. I'll try to look at that next week.

Dantean, I checked your entitlements and it says you have The Deep Green. Did you get it figured out?

Cnorthup, you don't have any MotA achievements and it also only shows you having characters on the PC. Is that not correct?

If your characters aren't syncing you just have to keep playing until they do. Unfortunately there isn't a force sync option that I know of.

The item isn't part of the DLC, this is just a free give away, you don't need it to play MotA.

There does seem to be a legitimate problem with accounts that have two profiles, ie those that have played the game on multiple platforms. I'll see if I can get a patch in tomorrow to fix that. And don't worry too much about the end date, as far as I know that is just a legal thing we have to put on, you should still be able to get it after the 26th.

We've also identified the bug for those of you who get the blank DA2 character page. When we go to load the character data the XML file is missing so we're going to try to get a patch in place to work around that. Hopefully have an update later today.

It would likely help your account. You do have data uploaded as you have a link to a DA2 profile. If you had no data then that link on your games tab "Dragon Age II - PC/MAC" wouldn't show up.

Ok, I've got a patch in place for the multiple persona bug. If you have two or more links under your "Player Profiles" in the Games tab can you try claiming the item again? Thanks!

Hey Spuudle, you're one of those lucky users that have both bugs with your account. :) Once we get the second patch in place it should work for you.

weezking, did you visit the claim page and click the button to get the item? I don't see the ring on your entitlements page.

Are you playing on PC? If so you need to download the installer from the entitlements page.

This should help with the sync problem, at least for console users:

On consoles it would appear that we’re only sending the XML file after manual saves.  If a player is accustomed to using autosaves for everything, they may not get social file updates for long periods.  There are three other reasons why the XML files might not be uploaded:  1) it was less than 60 seconds since the last upload,  2) the player has turned off uploads on the Options/Account screen,  3) the player is offline (the server connection may have been lost).

Going online, loading a game and doing a manual save should always clear this up.

We're still working on the bug for users that have characters that don't display.

Lenuks you need to click the "Activate Online Profiles" first.

We should have a patch in place for the blank character page tomorrow. We've manually updated a few of you who had the issue and it looks like it was successful.

Lenuks you have never synced any data from your games to the server. This is a setting in the game you need to turn on. Until you do that you won't be able to get the item.

AubreyFleming are you sure you are logged in while playing the game? I don't see any data on the server for your DA2 profile.

caco360v2 your Social profile was just recently synced so please try again. Sometimes you need to give it a bit of time before going to the claim page.

Have you done anything to edit your game? If so you'll probably want to re-install.

Make sure that you've enabled uploads in the Options/Account screen.

Hi Legion_Assassin, I checked your profile and the MotA achievements are not synced yet. In fact all your characters are listed as being level 1.

Hi everyone, if you're having problems getting your achievements to sync please wait a bit before posting as it can take some time before showing up. See some of my earlier posts that explain methods to help get your character synced. The ring claim page isn't going down immediately so you still have time.

eleve and Kehl, I just looked at your profiles and you have the achievements. Is the page still not giving you the ring?

If your profile is not updating there are few things you need to do. First one is be patient. :)

Here are the common problems you need to check.

-When clicking "Activate Online Profile" on Social your account is put into a queue to be synced. This means your profile may not display immediately. Give it at most 30 minutes.

-If you still don't see your profile after 30 minutes make sure your game is uploading your character. That setting is under "Options" > "Account" > "Upload character profile". You will also need to be logged in with your EA account and that must match what you log into Social with.

-If you're logged into DA2 with your EA account and still aren't seeing updates you'll need to play the game and trigger an update. There is no guaranteed way to trigger an update but the best way is to load a saved game and then do a manual save. After playing the game go back to Social and activate your profile. Wait about 30-60 minutes for the updates to sync.

If after trying all this you are still unable to get your account to sync please post here.

If your account has synced and the MotA achievements are displaying on the Social site but you can't get the Deep Green then you should be posting to this thread.

Zran has a good point. If you create a new character and play an hour or so with it your game will probably attempt to sync it. After you've done that come to Social and visit your profile. This will get your character put into the queue to be refreshed and should result in your data being updated along with your achievements.

We extended it to Nov 1st from the original deadline of Oct 26th.

If you weren't able to get it because of technical difficulties you can contact support and explain the issue. They should be able to grant it to your account if you have Mark of the Assassin.

Hey drunken_dervish, do you have a name of the person or a support ticket number from when you called? That will help us track down and hopefully fix the problem for future people that call the support line.

I'll send you a message to try to work out your particular issue.
