This worked for me too and was pretty close.  I got to Kirkwall and hit level 5 and showed I had the MotA content but still said it was updated last at a previous date.

Unlocked trophies but can't get ring. Synced with server but still nothing.

I got the "A New Day" PS3 trophy on Oct. 25th.  Everything was synced, but I'm still waiting for the bonus item.  I get the same message about being unable to verify my achievement/trophy every day.  Please help.

Its a bit annoying that in the other thread they say they've extended it until today and when you try it today it says its expired.

We extended it to Nov 1st from the original deadline of Oct 26th.

If you weren't able to get it because of technical difficulties you can contact support and explain the issue. They should be able to grant it to your account if you have Mark of the Assassin.

After doing the above, The Deep Green does not show up in my unlocks nor in game. I have the achievements. Just no ring.

Jesse,  I called this number.  They were completely unaware of the situaiton, even though I referenced this post on this board.  Their answer?  Was to have me delete the game install files (not character files)  which served no purpose other than wasting 2 hours of my night re-downloading all of our DLC and installing it.  Pretty lame.  Still no Deep green.  Next idea?   I enjoyed the content, but I expect if your going to advertise a free in game item tied to purchasing the DLC  then you better deliver.  This is disturbingly reminding me of horrible support issues I had with Warhammer and phone support being clueless.  I fault blizzard with many things, but I never had problems with granting / restore of an ingame item like this.  Pretty damn easy to see I A.  Have the DLC, and B> have the achievement... so I don't get why they can't grant the item to my account.   :pinched:

Allright, let me try a less dickish approach than the above, cuz I am / was a dick about it.. What magic word do I need to use with the tech support minion to trigger the appropriate path of getting the in-game item granted? I love DragonAge II, enjoy the content, love all the DLC, I'm on to my second character, I just wish there was an easier way of getting the DLC bonus items granted than the hoop fest that Mark of the Assassin has been. And I bet your tech support hates it too... more clear communication as to whats expected might have been a start. Hell, a good number of folks had no idea of the extension until Nov 1st, and then the fact that the bonus item page wasn't up on the 1st made things a bit confusing as well.

Hey drunken_dervish, do you have a name of the person or a support ticket number from when you called? That will help us track down and hopefully fix the problem for future people that call the support line.

I'll send you a message to try to work out your particular issue.
