I'm more of a Wozniak girl, but I'll always remember the NeXT and its black hole. Pure interface brilliance.

RIP.

RIP, still a young age to go :(
Hope we get a few years of peace before Hollywood releases some horrible biopic about him.

Off-topic comments and disrespectful comments removed, bans handed out. Let's show some basic decency and respect, ladies and gentlemen, and allow those who wish to remember a visionary to do so in peace. I don't care whether you like the man or not, whether you like Apple products or not, whether you believe in RIP threads or not. This is not a place for your personal soapboxes. Thank you.

I am thinking of wearing a black turtleneck tommorow in his honor. The only thing kind of holding me back would be if people found it offensive. Would any of y'all find it offensive?

YES. That is SO OFFENSIVE. I mean REALLY, a BLACK TURLENECK?! Could you POSSIBLY be more crass. HORRID. JUST HORRID.

Haha! Oh and RIP Steve Jobs.

What shining examples of humanity some of you are...

If you don't care about Steve Job's death, why bother posting to inform everyone else that you don't care?

I don't own an I-phone, I-pad, or a MAC either, but I wouldn't wish pancreatic cancer on anyone. He also had a wife and children who I would assume, are devastated. Have a little sympathy at least for the people it has affected. If you haven't been in their shoes yet, someday you will.

What a shame.

He was a good man...what a rotten way to die.

Wish there was something more I could say.

People like Steve Jobs come rarely among us. Innovative and driven, he changed the way people communicate.

It doesn't seem like that his family disowned him, though. They gave him up for adoption, his birth father is apparently a syrian immigrant to the US. link here: http://www.dataloung...Thread,10914277

For some reason I'll always liked Steve Jobs, maybe because way back in the 1970's, he struggled to survive, he tackled and dealt with his poverty back then, he did not become a victim, he decided to do something about it. He decided to follow his heart and his intuition in all of life's moments, it seems. And especially in the business life, he did so.

Jobs did not invent Apple by himself, nor the Apple computer by himself, but he was indeed the brain behind the operation, and in later years also the face of Apple. He knew how to market products and his intuition was probably very strong, so strong so that he could 'guess' where the tech market were going.
In a Danish article about his death, this is mentioned as Jobs 'was not the first mover, but he was the best mover.' Meaning that he saw what was needed before anyone else....and acted on this.

In this way, a great man has now crossed over...to the great beyond....but his name and apple products will still live forever...in cyber space..
