And Isolde is annoying. I'm sure Eamon is secretly thankful to the Warden for getting rid of his obnoxious wife (JUST KIDDING)

She is probably too immature anyway.  She is what? 40 years younger than him? Somehow I find that a bit disturbing.:?

Actually Isolde and Eamon are round about the same age. Eamon is a lot younger than he appears to be in DA:O. He's even younger than Loghain shockingly.

Final proof that having a **** for a wife will age you incredibly fast... You don't need me to tell you what I do, also to add insult to injury I trade Connor for the blood magic.

I do Broken Circle first, so no timeline problems for me. Plus, killing Isolde means that Jowan gets captured and Tranquilized, which just sucks.

I remember "hearing" that she was much younger than Arl Eamon from one of the gossipers.

OMG !!!  Really ?!?!?!

Was the artist that drew him using paint by numbers - that someone had screwed with and forgot to tell them ?

I bet it was the same guy/girl that drew DA2 Zev  <_<

I'm pretty certain that Eamon is older than Isolde, actually... It was mentioned a few times by the villagers in Redcliffe.

I did find Isolde's accent a bit grating, but her motivations felt quite believable to me. I still think the best conclusion is entering the Fade yourself as a Mage and then intimidating the Desire Demon into teaching you Blood Magic and then fleeing. ;)

Yesterday i let Isolde die anew. And was really upset about the game not realising (especially in the following discussion with Alistair) that i didn't had the possibility of aid from the Magi Circle (i had been there before and chose the "we must be cautious, no blood mage may evade us" path).
I don't like her anyway and in my opinion she is a very poor co-ruler, showing no regards for her smallfolk.
I thought also Eamon to be much older than Isolde and i think that is from banter in te game.

I have to admit, I only killed her the first time because I was too lazy to go to the Circle. ._.

A bit off subject. Just played a female mage (Suki) whose sole intent was to immortalise herself by killing the arch demon, no way on earth was she going to share any glory with another warden especially ex Templar Alistair. She went out of her way to hack him off at every chance she got and was more than happy to slay Connor, just a pity that she couldn't kill Isolde as well. She did however become somewhat of a machiavellian character as she also 'wanted' Leliana so she only did her nasty stuff when she wasn't around. The Landsmeet was neat as Alistair was stood there in his underwear protesting in vain as Anora and Suki condemned him to death. Playing evil characters can be so much more fun at times.

From a RP perspective (mage who loves Alistair), I let her die because she willingly volunteered to sacrifice herself to save her son and that the village probably couldn't survive anymore attacks while the Wardens tried to get the Circle to help them. But deep down, I was happy she died for being a selfish B.

I'm running a drow through DAO right now so I can finish a fanfic story. It's hard picking for evil. The end will not be enjoyable at all.

Because Leliana is the only character actually voiced by a FRENCH actress.

THIS

I pray that if DA 3 is actually going to Orlais, Bioware Montreal handles the voice acting...

...For letting Lady Isolde die, just because she made Alistair's (who I am romancing for the 100th time) childhood miserable?  I feel bloddthirsty... and evil, and I am not sorry. :P I wonder if anyone else romancing Alistair has done the same on purpose, and for the same reason.

If that was your only reason, then yes.  The best rationale for sacrificing her is if you figure that Connor could have another murderous episode while you're away, and that allowing one person to sacrifice herself is better than having hundreds massacred by the undead.  You could get back from the tower and find a city full of dead bodies.

Oh but you can. Do the blood ritual, and then agree to the trade with the demon. You get a bonus, avoid a fight, AND snuff out the pompus madam and her spawn.
You know, if you're completely eeeeevil...

Could have qualified before I met her for what Alistair told my character...unfortunately I met her and her accent and decided that I didn't want her dead, I wanted her to kill Connor and I tried to remind her that she did, that Connor died for her fault and that she wasn't going to give the Arl any other son any time soon in every single conversation.

Yes I played a mage character.
