I hope some legal way can be found to pay them for their work. I'll be the first to get my credit card out

Even for the most greedy, I think the free to play model is the safe bet. Too many games on the horizon won't be charging subscription fees. The Fred wrote...
Wow, I'm kind of amazed to see them switching so whole-heartedly to the free-to-play model. That's interesting.
Incidentally, I am all for invading like pirates, but like true pirates we should simply steal their people and then leave! This is the BioWare Buccaneer Alliance, after all. Arrrr!
To be fair, the early information from Bioware stated very clearly that there would be multiplayer. Look at this archive from December 2004 from Bioware's FAQ:MachinSin wrote...
Why is people granting so many features to a game when its own developers are obviously denying them? Bioware clearly stated that dragon age wouldn't support multiplayer
and also1.05: Will Dragon Age have a multi-player component?
Dragon Age will have a fully developed multi-player campaign that follows the same core story as the single-player campaign, but which is optimized for cooperative play. Some competitive play modes will also be available. More information on multiplayer will be made available later in the development cycle.
So people didn't just "grant" the features to the game out of wishful thinking. After seeing confirmation like that, it would surely be difficult to believe any subsequent statements that it wouldn't have multiplayer. At the very least hope springs eternal.1.13: Will Dragon Age have a Game Master client?
Dragon Age will have a Game Master client. More information on the specific features will be made available at a later date.

Often but not always. Guild Wars, for example, has a pretty good business model. Yes, there is a store where you spend real money but the things you are buying are mostly cosmetic and in no way effect how far you can get in the game.SuperFly_2000 wrote...
Oh....you all do know that the F2P thingie is a scam most of the times right?
