Every time I play the games (Origins, Awakenings and DA2) something new shows up, I am wondering just how many times I can play them.

This time round I've played as a male elf mage (on two machines playing with Ultimate edition and original where I romance Alistair .. yes I know it's a bug but I like it).
We made poor Alistair marry Queen ****: what a wonderful touch during the coronation, the poor innocent sweet man tried to hold her hand and had her shake it off, made us ahhhhhhh, and made me wants to go back and have him as my king again.

Having played DA2 has changed how we played a mage this time around , no sympathy for the Chantry, freedom for mages, supporting Anders in Awakening etc
best was the boon we got at the end of Origins ie Alistair agreeing on Freedom for the Circle - really good touch, and something I was wanting as I write DA stories in my head while cleaning the house.

I love that moment, "hands off you fool!".

There's always something new to find in subesequent runs, even if it's something small like that.

Anora's just not a girl for public displays of affection-nothing against Alistair. it's a shame freeing the Ferelden Circle won't carry over to DA2, although the Circle will acknowledge the attempt. I'll admit-I 'll skim over/ignore any Queen Cousland/ Alistair fan fiction unless it's done really well-it's just really been overdone.

I avoid fan fiction because it's never what I've interpreted, it's like a film of a favourite book is always wrong. So I just work out in my head what I think's happening with my favourite characters and favoured political line (been doing it for too long now, need a life!).
In my Ferelden Alistair and I hired Zevran and Leliana to run the spy network.

DA2 does have a reference to Alistair being a mage lover, I think it should be part of DA3
