What do you think of our Protaginists REAL race and class?

Perhaps you should explain a bit more. Which protagonist? Your own PC? I always know what mine is, because I design a character to suit myself.

Yup the PC. What I mean is, just like in Dragon Age: Origins, you can create your Warden but in default, he's a Sword and Shield Warrior of some sorts (based on the trailer).

In NWN2 you can make your PC anything you want, from a sword and shield warrior to a spellcasting mage or cleric to a sneaky thief, a ranger, a druid...it's up to you. I hope I'm not misunderstanding your question. When you start the game, you have a option to create any character you want.

Are you talking about the first choice in the list that comes up when you create a new character? That if you just keep clicking "next" without making any choices, you end up with a male dwarf barbarian?

He's a Lawful Good Human Male. Probably a Fighter, but that's far less emphasised. The storyline assumes you are of human age (given the timelines of things like the War of Shadows etc) and games like this aren't written for evil people. Actually Neutral Good is probably more likely, since there *are* quite a lot of options, but most of the evil ones are "I'm an idiot, so I'm going to do mean things to you".

Half-Elven Mage / Rogue - at least that's one of my favourite classes - so maybe that's more MY real race & class :-). Human Sorceror/Paladin is a fun combination too, if a little unconventional (same reason I suppose)

More seriously, as everyone else is likely to say - NWN is about playing whatever character you like to play, there isn't really a single 'real' PC that the game is aimed at. Some adventures made by the community limit choice of character for the purpose of the story, but most are aimed at whatever character wants to try the adventure - Vive la difference!

Indeed - things don't make much sense at all playing as a >100 year old elf (the default age). How could Shandra Jerro (a human) possibly remember her grandfather if he's been gone since you were a baby more than a century ago?

I've never played the first official campaign with a female character. Is there a romance similar to the one with Elanee? If not, then it would seem the game is biased towards human male characters.
Or does Elanee swing both ways? You know what those nature-loving hippy types are like... Posted Image
