Never said I had such a complex, hun, but the way you keep going at it I will probably develop one soon enough.

To be fair, Kaiser, you're like nega-Xil.  Just as superior, completely opposite views.

When I see you two post in the same thread, I run and hide.

In other words, like with ME2 the people wanting a darker ending have to work for it by skipping content while everyone who plays the game normally gets to have his cake and eat it, in a scenario that involves an galactic war against giant machine cthulhu?

Oh you munchkins, always complaining about how I took Enhance Water. Listen, my gnome had a need for booze, so six pints a day from poison liquid is quite a steal.

Here's the thing, it was brought up earlier that the existence of a pure white ending invalidates the two grey options. But I could have sworn that Bioware has already confirmed the existance of a black ending (the Reapers win). So the existence of a grey ending invalidates that one. That doesn't mean we should take it out. So just because there's a white ending doesn't invalidate the other endings. You pick the path and there you go. ~_^

Stop hatin' on the role players.

The "Reapers win"  ending will likely be the 'joke" ending like the Shepard dies one in ME2 where the player REALLY has to work at it to get.

I'm nothing like Xili. But if I were, she'd be the nega-version of us.

And you'd better run after comparing comparing me to her. >_>

Either that or "Reapers win" = "Critical Mission Failure". Which would be a disappointment, imo.

A suicide mission run where nearly the entire team wipes has less emotional impact than Virmire, where you only lose one squad mate.

I think the Virmire death was also more impactful because you only had a max party size of 6, and by that time it might have been a party of 5 (if Wrex died). The relationships in the first game were deeper (to me) because there were fewer people to get to know, more opportunity to become friendly and chat, and a lot less suspicion since nobody was a terrorist.

There were so many squaddies in ME2 and they all had few conversations so I never felt like I really knew any of them. They were bodies to shoot at my enemies and send me dashing across star systems on their various quests. Any attempts at friendship felt shallow. Because of that, I didn't particularly care if any of them survived the SM because I wasn't emotionally invested.

For me, a satisfying ending when defeating the reapers would be saving most of my original ME squadmates from the first game (except Wrex, he's dead for my original Shepard) and actually having a choice of who to save (glares at DA2), and hopefully managing to save enough living beings of various races to have some hope of eventual galactic recovery. Anything beyond that is gravy, and I don't think my  expectations are unreasonable. Then again, considering how Hawke was screwed over in DA2 no matter what,...who knows?

Maybe the new choice means not having any at all.

This is so hilarious.

I wouldn't say Kaiser is near as bad as her. (Xil)

Saph is a good Cerberus blood brother.  He erased my doubts and made me completely devoted to the cause after I became his disciple.

Kaiser on the other hand is a Cerberus blood brother in training. We're taking baby steps with him so he can be prepared to give his life for TIM if need be.

Guess that's all I'll ever be, then. I'm fully prepared to give my life for the cause, just not for the Man himself.

Saphra's a brilliant man, the problem is that not many are capable of recognizing it.

Quole is hardly high-profile (nor am I, I think), but here's the rundown on him: he simply comes into threads to call people he disagrees with idiots and... that's pretty much it. Hence least imaginative.

Saphra said an ambiguous statement (I wish I could remember what it was) one time. I asked him/her, "How so?" His/her reply was, "I don't explain thing to stupid people."
That isn't that big a deal to me, but that's pretty d*ckish.

Indeed, or woman. Personality-wise I'm still having trouble it's the latter, but no sane guy would pick a name that ends with an 'a'.

Not that it matters; I'm in love with him/her regardless of gender.

Real life is dark. A story of a war based on genocide of galactic proportions is characterizing a reality that's even darker. That's the atmosphere that the writers have been building up to.

From time to time, I think. Not too sure on that one, although I do remember being called just that a couple of times in the numerous anti-bisexuality threads on here.

Also, crazily enough Saphra once called me a bleeding-heart xenophile, but I think s/he misinterpreted me there.

I can't recall being name called besides that one time where I was indirectly referred to as being "mentally ill" for supporting TIMmancing.

Edit: Oh yeah there was that time where I was called a "goblin" for taking to task the original poster in one thread for mischaracterizing the Renegade path.
