He gain a position of governmental power and ended a practice within his country that had, and would have continued to, hurt him directly.

Not being altruistic =/= being Selfish.

Kinda depends, but basically doing things completely selflessly, with no expectation of any personal gain.

Shouldn't you add "consequences" there as well? Im a Paragade myself (sig!). I only find myself in the extreme of the moral compass in Fable games.

Really?    But anyhow, to contribute more to the conversation, I think that, eventually, this will stray so far from the subject of the 'perfect happy ending' and on to more deep things like philosophy and the like.  At the point of no return, we'll probably get locked, but until then, please keep going.  I'll be popping in and out over the night. :3

Give it time. That sort of thread is bound to get a lot of spam, but I reckon once in a while a well-thought-out response will get added.

And in the meantime, well, some of the spam is kinda funny...
