So you're basing the Alliance's knowledge and IFF possession on the idea that Shepard would want to tell them. Hm. What's wrong with that? Oh, yeah.
There's plenty of good reason for Shepard not tell them about the IFF if he's on Cerberus' side. Sure, in ME3, he has to fight them, but before that they haven't overtly attacked him yet. If Shepard told them about Cerberus' actions, it would mean that he doesn't support Cerberus, which would make the ending of ME2 where he balks off Cerberus and TIM canon, which would ****** everybody right the **** off.
At least, you'd acknowledge that Shepard not telling the Alliance would be equally problematic?
The most likely scenario is that they wouldn't believe him/care either way. They don't believe in the Reapers and they don't recognize the Collectors as a major threat. Hell, there's no reason to even believe that Shepard is aware of Cerberus setting up shop in the Omega 4 relay. It's not like TIM tells him everything about his operations even when they're on good terms.

Already read these, but still good to finally see a Cerberus operation going as planned without direct intervention from Shepard.

The art isn't helping much either.
Don't really hate them, but definitely not liking them either.

It might be an attack on Omega instead of an experiment gone wrong. It's still too early to tell, but if Cerberus is field testing a new weapon (i.e. these strange monsters), Omega would be a great place to do it.

The guys in Cerberus uniforms running and screaming suggest otherwise.

That's the point. Have some uninformed people there to get killed and make it all look like an accident.Wulfram wrote...

If you're going to plan something to look like an accident, wouldn't you plan it so it looks like an accident more... obviously? If everybody who sees it immediately believes it was intentional, hasn't the plan already failed?
In regards to the comic, it looks interesting so far. The art is greatly improved. Aria looks a little off to me for some reason though. It's probably the dress, I never really saw Aria as the dress-wearing type.

Intentional? Almost everyone in this thread is acting exasperated over yet another Cerberus failure.NPH11 wrote...

Several are just hoping its intentional because they're tired of Cerberus's comical string of failures. Many people couldn't even take them seriously for the collector base decision because BioWare gutted their credibility.

I'm digging this comic. But I am tired of Cerberus experiment going wrong. I mean, what is this, a cartoon? Er, I guess it is, but yeah, you know what I mean.
Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light.
*Ahem*
In any case, aside from yet another "cerberus messed up again" plot the actual flow of the comic in the preview is pretty good, and the art is much better. I only have one question now...
Why the hell is Aria in a dress?

It's surprisingly simple to imagine Martin Sheen's voice exclaiming, "to protect the world from devastation."

Holy he-
You just blew my mind, now I can't get Sheen out of my head. I watched a documentary he narrated the other day, and I couldn't help but see the Illusive man gushing over how great earth was.
Sheen has a great voice.

It is kind of odd. Hell, she's wearing her normal outfit on the front cover. I don't think it's for fanservice, considering her normal outfit is already pretty much fanservice.
I guess they just wanted to see what she looked like in a dress?

Who knows. Hopefully we will find out in the full comic. Aria just doesn't seem the dress type.

Release reaper monstrosities into omega? I guess they could study them. They lost another team, but that doesn't really matter they seem to be able to recover their entire organization from nothing. I guess releasing them on omega instead of yet another tiny colony seemed more prudent? I mean call me crazy, but I suspect releasing reaper technology (in that mass) into the wild is not smart. They couldn't even capture ONE HUMAN reaper hybrid.

Yeah, I know that, it's just that they market so much that Mac is the writer, that I think that he's more responsible to the end result than the other one.JeffZero wrote...

The dialog is so bad. I don't know if my standards get different on comics, I mean, the writer is the same on the games
Well, yes and new. The scripter is not Mac Walters. It's John Jackson Miller. He is the one responsible for all the dialogue in the comics. Except "Conviction", which was rather short and I don't remember seeing Miller's name on it. Same with the other short one, featuring Bailey.
Well, whatever. I never asked for this, but I'll end up reading it anyway.
