The problem is when the companions are set to be ranged attackers, like casters and rouges with a bow, they dont get the effects fast enough and end up sliding down the hall on one foot or something like that.
Does snyone have a suggestion on how to get the group to get closer really quick or maybe a way to get the effect to work on those ranged attackers.
The whole thing takes place out of combat and in a cutscene so there are no external factors - that I can guess anyway.
Suggestions happily accepted.

I used ActionMoveToLocation(...GetLocation(oPC)...) so the ranged companions would be closer in the cutscene
