Please not I'm not saying the following in a joking matter, I'm serious.

Wearing a leather longcoat in the future to protect you? I'm fine with that. Wearing high heels? That's just stupid.

I don't know, maybe it's because I don't find heels sexy, but they just look stupid, especially when the character wearing them is running perfectly fine along with the other characters. And Samara, please cover your cleavage, I doubt collectors will be distracted.

Really - I'm not going to sit and get in a  long drawn out debate about the biomechanics of how a human being runs  to frame discussion about how "unrealistic" it was for a someone to wear heels in  Sci-fi video game.  Especially  a game with Gaint , Talking, robotic, space, squids  bent on purifying the galaxy.  A game were they rebuild  a man/woman after they make planet fall.   Seriously if people want sci-fi/space marine realism ... Go read  Starship Troppers or something.

This is just a laughable as  DA 2  sword size debate in a game where Mages are summoning Fireballs out of thin air without a visable source to fuel that fireball and not being burn by holding it  in their hand.

edit: /rant

I think this argument is a little facetious. There are certain things the general populace MUST ignore for rpg games to run. If you're arguing, that female high heels is something that should be in the category. Then we are having a debate. But saying "Oh look at all these main rpg components that make no sense, so **** lets throw out logic and reason when it comes to everything else". It's not going to fly.

As far as this s*xualization of women in Mass Effect is concerned, I know where I stand, I'm against this stupid nonsense. Not because I give two flying biscuits about the glorification of sex, but more that this just suggests a trend of compromising game mechanics for sales. I'm all for Bioware making a profit but is it worth it to the series, when we start just throwing in crap to push products? What happened to the GAMEZ.

Also, if you're getting off to these virtual booties, I think you're far too young to be playing Mass effect anyways. Go watch porn, don't try to put your crap in my game.

Finally, Bioware is trying to be a game that is for everyone one, gender, sexuality, race, blah, blah. It can't be trying to shove s/s down our throats at one minute than going well "women gamers?" fk em.

Bull****. Stay consistent Bioware.

Mark your calenders folks, I'm actually agreeing with something Zeel said
, only he said it much nicer than I would have.

I was just thinking exactly the same thing

I love how people get all up in arms about these sorts of topics, yet when other topics that are actually pertain the gameplay (like the controller setup and not having enough mappable powers) nobody gives a s**t.

Sometimes it seems like all anyone cares about on these boards is romance, lore, and aesthetics. Which are important, but does no one care at all about, you know, playing the actual game?

You must not be paying attention. Though I don't particulary care about the high heels discussion. i think this topic in general is about the oversexuality of the females in game. Which is a little more deep than aesthetics squabble.

Also, controller setup? Use a PC, or go die. Theres your controller setup.

I like my controller set up and mapping hasn't been an issue for me...LOVE the gameplay in fact...if it ain't broke, don't fix it...I don't see it as broken.

Who do you think video games are marketed for?  Boys.  Boys like boobs and sexy chicks.  Mass Effect does a good job overall of making the female characters interesting and real even if they are wearing heels.  It has zero impact of gameplay, and the characters have already been established.  Who gives a f**k if Ashley is wearing heavy armor or not.  Its not like thats what your thinking about in the middle of a fight.

As for your PC comment...shut the f**k up d00d.  I don't have thousands of dollars to spend on a gaming computer.  Furthermore, seeing as the series was originally xbox exclusive and the PC version is actually a port, you go die ****hole.  Your comments are always shat out like you're some kind of video game forum tough guy.  You aren't impressing anyone, and no one cares about you.  Just stop.

You wouldn't want to be able to map a few more powers to your controller?  Its not about changing gameplay, its about improving the experience of playing.  I hate having to pause all the time, its messes up the flow of combat.  We should at least have the option to map more powers.

As an Infiltrator it's not a great issue for me....maybe Biotics though, I don't know, I haven't played one enough.

Trying to run in high heels is a ankle break waiting to happen if not a twisted ankle waiting to happen. I prefer no high heels because frankly it's not practical and seriously can mess up your feet and legs.

Agreed, this has gone on long enough and is hardly about ME 3 anymore.
