In a perfect world, those who want their Sheps, Ashes, and Miris wandering around running and gunning with long hair flowing, tight Emma Peel catsuits, and high heels can have that while those wanting their characters doing the same thing, but with butch haircuts, heavy armor, and BDUS only can have theirs too. Unfortunately, we don't live in a perfect world, so compromises have to be made. To me, costuming is very much an element of character conception. Would Emma Peel be Emma Peel if she didn't wear a black catsuit in combat, but rather wandered around wearing camo BDUs? Miranda's costume is very much an element of who she is as a character.

In other words, thinking as a writer, if my conception of the character calls for her to wear a black catsuit and red lipstick and high heels, then that's how I'm going to portray her. It's up to the audience to decide whether they want to accept that or not.

Please. these topics are such small potatoes. Shouldn't we be worrying about gameplay, story or anything not concerning their virtual aesthetics?

Yes there should only be topics that you have an interest in on these boards.

Instead we should have topics that only interest you?

Nope there should be topics for everybody and when people find a topic they have no interest in they should just move to another topic of choice.. neat ain't it?

If that was the situation, you think I'd be in this topic? The fact remains, there are not many topics of intelligent discussion. Most of them are you guys complaining about how you're character looks or how much lipstick they should have.

who really cares, honestly.

high heals...as in healing abilities that yield a high amount of recovery...

they tend to keep me alive in games....

I'm just messing around...in the title, "high heals" is used instead of "high heels"

High heals discriminate against dwarven, gnomish and halfling clerics.

This comment wins. I thought this thread was going to be about healing efficiency and mana conservation.

People who post in this topic obviously.

Seriously why don't you make a topic concerning the points you want to discus instead of just pointing fingers at topics that have no interest to you?

They get locked and forwarded to a stupid sticky that no one reads. Apparently the best way to not bog down the forum is to keep all intelligent discussion to one topic, but let the moronic topics breed and spread.

I see.. yes you are absolutely correct in barging into other topics and proclaim that what people are discussing there is stupid then, This is an intelligent action.

I know, right? Brilliant wording if done on purpose. If not, still a funny aside.

I suppose you could use a mass effect field to help out with combat in highheels? maybe?

The title was misleading. Image IPB  The first thought that sprang to my mind was: medigel = high heals? By how much? Was there a meter I didn't notice in game? Image IPB

Anyways, high heels.I dunno, maybe Cheerleader thught a high raised feature would stop the goons in their tracks and Samara thought she could stroll grandly through any battle, like she did on Illium, and shoot the goons down while they looked stupidly at her majesty. Image IPBImage IPBImage IPB

Honestly, heels make the ladies stand out. What can I say?

Personally, I say go for that look, rather than the realism. Its a game, we know its fake. Keep Miranda looking bomb - cause her in combat boots is really not that great of an idea.

There is plenty of realism to go around to allow some cool factors here and there.
If some of the companions or NPCs use outlandinsh gear, as long as it's stylish, suspend disbelief ftw.

I can look past the heels, and the not-vacuum-proof "armor", It is a game. I would prefer that the women not have giant breasts or bums that the camera insists on putting right in my face all the time. That tendency really does effect my immersion. I can see my Shepard telling Miri to move a bit. "Trying to concentrate here, Miranda. Take those out of my line of sight, please."

I just thought that since technology has advanced that the high heels of Miranda and Samara's boots would near unbreakable also it would give them an added weapon the point at the end of said boot for close combat kicks to vital areas such as the throat (which I know don't happened in the game but could or can be used in other media such as comics, novels, movies, anime, fan fiction, fan art.and etc).

I'll take a pair of F*ck Me boots over some ugly combat boots any day. **** realism, if I want realism, I'll watch the news.

Take those out of my sight please?  Funny!  More like, Miri - Move that thing or I am gonna bite it.
