We've been there, done that and got the T-shirt for it. :P

I
think it's because the spelling and grammar on forums in general is
just so poor that my brain tends to just auto correct most of what I
read, so the OP's misspelling in the title flew over my head until about
half a dozen people cracked a joke about it. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

Yeeaah.. I'm slow.

yeah its one of my pet peeves

Anyway on topic

heels can work in places like Illum or Omega. as they are city like etc. Or even parties like Kasumi's mission. The only place where they don't work are places like Tuchanka pr any other rough terrian. But i hardly notice them in combat so it is not a dealbreaker for me.

She uses Biotics to stabilize her ankles, as does Samara.

As such, Ashley Williams is not allowed to wear heels because she's not a Biotic.

These are the kind of guys I used to have to partner with in my ballet years. Too bad for me they were all gay, I had a crush on one or two of the men I danced with.

A shame really. The world could use more straight guys like that, imo. :)

Check out what these guys can do in high heels. I think with the right training anything is possible.

My grandmother owned a dancing school, and my father and uncle used to do ballet. They were never gay, though, lol. A couple months ago a few friends of mine were at a pizza place and they were talking about tap dancing. they asked if he could do it and he did, right there. it was pretty funny (he's fifty).

Tap dancing was considered "cool" though half a century ago... actually it still kinda is, depending where you live... I love me some Riverdance and a lot of those men seem plenty "manly" to me ^_^

I find it funny OP renamed the title of the post and censored himself... sexualisation isn't a censored word on the forums... only words like **** , ****, ******, **** , and my personal filthy favorite ****** ****** are censored.

:innocent:

I can kind of tap dance, actually. I don't have any training, but I can keep a sequence, as it were.

So obviously we're not dealing with someone who wants to see strong female characters who can be hot stuff without being cheap-ass fanservice, but a mere prude.

Shame.

Personally, I don't mind the saxualisation of the women in mass effect at all! Far from it! I encourage them to play any instruments they desire, not just the brass and woodwinds. It's a glorious modern age we live in and me3 should reflect it.

 Personally I never gave a you-know-what. It's a just-go-with-it thing for me.

It's ridiculous when you think about it. But, when you're in combat, you don't think about it. I just see it as "today my squad and I went to the Derelict Reaper, killed husks, and got the Reaper IFF." Details are what they are, irrelevant. If we were in a vaccum-sealed space, then Jack was wearing armor, even if she really wasn't in the game.

Oh come on. Let's not GENERALIZE, like we seem to be doing with disturbing regularity.

Oh, and guys in heels, don't always look so bad.

Sure, if effeminate men floats your boat, that's super swell.... um, otherwise... nah.

That's awesome, there are some things you never lose. I did many other styles of dance besides ballet- tap, jazz, modern, Spanish, classical Indian...and even though I'm in my upper 30's I still retain all of my flexibilty although little of my former muscle strength. I taught dance for a few years, but never ran my own school.

I noticed in ME2 Miranda would go into battle with high heels, I found this laughable. Not only would a real female soldier not go into battle with high heels, but if Miranda were real I don't think she would either.

I was pleased to see the new costume for Miranda in the ME2 DLC, it was less revealing and the shoes looked better, while still being a bit heeley.

So I ask the web community, do you want to see more realism in ME3? No high heels while female soldiers run into battle, armour that doesn't look like it could deflect a cream bun, or are you happy to accept the sexualisation of female characters?

Discuss.

Generalize?  Me?  Nah.

Just making fun of unnecessary censorship.  It makes things unintentionally hilarious.

Jacob only sticks his ass in the camera once.  Miri did it at least twice.

While we are throwing that out there, my older sister is a dance teacher at a dance academy not far from where I live. She is really good, capable of doing multiple dance styles flawlessly.

Miranda's skin tight suit doesn't fit her "all business" personality.

But that ass....

Didn't mean to insult you too much, I'm not putting you in the same catagory as...some...we've seen in the last couple days.

And wow, that video is slightly disturbing and highly hilarious.

I do! I like all squaddies to wear armor when engaged in combat. If Jacob wanted to cross-dress or wear lipstick on his own time, no problem. I'm against combat spandex on principle.

Well there was a reason for high heels outside of looks you know. A technical one involving height. Thats why Miranda's heels were still raised in her alternate appearance pack. If they remove the heels, all the cutscenes would just go wonky.

If shep went to grab and saved miranda during the suicide mission from that fall near the end, there would be a discrepancy.

I personally like Kiva's design from Megas XLR. Even though she had heels, it actually looked like they served some kind of function, also she cracked heads with those shoes that she has, mostly fighting with her feet.
